Aside from the Dolphins, I am an avid follower of the Ravens for a variety of reasons. Saw this on the Baltimore Sun and you know...I am the last person to say shut your mouth, but this is starting to become quite irritating. Confidence is good, I will be the first to say that, but saturating the media with horse crap day in and day out has become again...quite irritating. "I guarantee you that there's probably guys in the same spot right now jealous as hell," Scott told New York reporters. "Trevor probably gets texts like, 'Man, come get me too.' I guarantee you there's at least 15 other players over there that's praying to God that they get released for a half a day too, so they can come over here. They won't admit it. But I guarantee you." http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/spo...cott_ravens_players_are_jealous_of_pryce.html
I can make garuntees too. For example: I garuntee the Jets won't be in the Superbowl this year. Heck, I'll go out on a limb and garuntee they won't be in it the next year either...
My bad, was not sure where to put it...it is funny though really considering how well Baltimore (at least their D) played in their first bout this year and how much better of a team they are in comparison imo.
I got no problem with it being in the main forum. Scott is a high profile player from our arch rivals. If this were in the AFC East forum I may have missed it.
and I'll bet you everything I got that most jets players don't give a **** who their coach is. Bart Scott has a rather unhealthy obsession with the fat sack but most players are playing for them dollar signs and nothing else. Case in point, Jason taylor.
and I would bet everything I got that every single player on your team would rather live in Miami than New York. We can play that game better than you.
So? I'd bet everything I have that there are some Jets players who would love to play for Sparano. Other than you love to take the passive-aggressive low road given every chance you can... what's your point?
[mod]include a link and only a short quoting of an article[/mod] It's unbelievable how much people LOVE playing for Rex. We're always going to attract players just by him. Not to mention New York is the best city in the world.
I've always respected Rex for that reason. It isn't hard to see players play hard for him. His methods may be unconventional (especially to Disciple Dungy) but they work. I hate the guy, but you have to give respect where it is due. Pryce seems like a well spoken person too, but kind of threw the Baltimore organization under the bus somewhat, so I question his level class. You don't do that kind of stuff.
I concur. Rex came from Baltimore and is a good coach. He is someone you want to play for. One of my favorite quotes (and you know he has many...) was after a preseason game a few years back while still with Baltimore and he was blitzing the hell out of the opposing team's QBs. That team (I forget which), was complaining about the blitzing and frankly how much their QBs were hitting the turf and Rex says: "It is not my job to protect your Quarterback." Where I diverge is this self-anointing horse crap that Bart Scott is spewing day in and day out. Add Pryce to it, who says in his press conference, which our fine Jets representative pasted for us that but for a Braylon penalty they win the game...six (6) first downs, 1 for 11 on third down, Sanchez 10-21 74yds, 176 yards total, and no touchdowns - but he says a penalty...Anyhow, I just wanted to share the clown's comments, but our resident troll has taken full advantage and for that I apologize.
oh knowz you dont think im funnyz??!!! And you post a picturez of a facepalmz??!!! omgdz!!! Not only are you funnierz then mez your creativez!!!
Yeah, as soon as their contract with the Dolphins expires and the Dolphins don't offer an extension. Either that, or they're cut. Especially if the Jets offer the most money. Dollah, dollah bills, y'all! Every likes to be employed, or at least an opportunity to feed their family. I definitely agree with you
Why? So that we can sit around and talk about the pluses and minuses of a QB's looks? That is what you said, right? "At least our QB is good looking", I think is how you phrased it. C'mon Madmike, there's more to life than staring at your Sanchize poster and comparing him to the rest of the QB's in the NFL. I'll bet you secretly keep a picture of Brady in your wallet. You do, don't you? And why all the man love for Rex Ryan? He has the exact same record as Sparano this year, yet your committing internet fellatio on him. Why? He's 11-8 for regular season wins, not exactly spectacular. Now let's go eat a goddamn snack!
Playing for Rex is great - you get to spout off, have laid back practices and your offseason starts in January. What's not to love?
Someone should count the number of posts we get from the Jets fans the week after we beat them and them compare them to the number of posts when they beat us even so it's rarely. They are like rats, they only come scurrying out when there is cheese on the ground.
Comparing Sparano to Ryan is a joke. As long as Ryan is here, the Jets will be better than the Dolphins. Not to mention the fact that Parcells is leaving! THANK GOD!
You're right, it is. I would never compare Sparano to a coach that allows his players to eat cheeseburgers on the field during practice. Now, that's a joke. Sparano at least has discipline.
That's why Sparano is 2-1 against him? Parcells was slated to leave..he did his job...we ran out of Dove bars. and sorry dude...we are younger and talented...only getting better...it is very likely that we will be better for a long time. You jet fans never learn.
The entire NFL probably wants to play for a guy like Rex. He allows you to be yourself but players know, if they cross that line, he will bust your ***. He's well respected.
(snicker) Yeah, well respected. Players coaches are never respected, they'll always end up losing their players for being too soft. Let me ask you, madmike, were you this high up on Rex's third chin last year when they went on a 1-6 slide in the middle of the season? Didn't think so.
It was his first ****ing year as a coach with a rookie QB. I swear a wet paper towel has a higher IQ than you do. Please, we're probably the most physical team in all the NFL. We are the better team. End of discussion.
LOL. Just because your coach likes to say your team is "physical" it doesn't mean that they are. Put down the kool aid.
