Actually, Denver traded back, then moved up to get Tebow. Sort of like how the Ravens traded back then traded up to get Joe Flacco. And Tebow wasn’t even their first selection; Demaryius Thomas was taken three slots ahead.

Not a boneheaded move at all. Tebow is one of the most prolific college QBs of all time. There were plenty of worse picks that could have been made at that slot. Jimmy Clausen, Colt McCoy, Dan Williams, Dexter McCluster, Sergio Kindle…

You realize that by solely criticizing the Broncos’ roster and draft moves, you’re really targeting Brian Xanders, right?

Ok Xanders or Mcdaniels it does not matter anymore. You just stood up and defended Tebow being taken in round one by trading up to get him. Whether they traded down 10 times does not overshadow the fact that they traded up to draft Tebow in the first.

He was a winner in college so was Pat White. So was Beck So was Major Applewhite and Ken Dorsey. Tom Brady was not. You get it? Who gives a crap about there record or what they accomplished in college, the question is do they have what it takes to convert to the NFL. Have you seen the guy throw the football? Are you really defending him?

Sorry I think Tim is a wonderful human being. I wish the NFL had more of them, but he will not have success here.

To say Josh had zero influence on this pick would be saying you were "Naive and in Denial :pointlol:"

Edit: Leinart has more upside at this point of being a starting QB and thats saying alot.

The thing that scares me if Parcells leaves is the picking of Miami's players that he would do...alla Dallas to Miami.....and..

Would bigger free agents still be lured to Miami?? I read somewhere that Dansby choose Miami, or NYG after talking to Parcells....would Irish have the star-power?

It only seems fitting he would complete the AFC East road trip by helping out the Bills. They fit the mold.
    possible 1st overall pick
    transitioning 3-4 defense
    O-line help needed
It's his kind of overhaul. He'd get to fire Chan Gailey and replace him with one of his boys...

Not interesting in him sticking around, so I could care less. Good riddance. Hope he takes a large portion of his "loyal" people with him, most importantly Dan Henning.

I don't know about the rest of you but I think Bill Parcells is the Phil Jackson of the NFL. He's very overated. Parcells has also gotten way too much credit for "turning franchises around."

I don't think we went went from 1-15 to 11-5 because of Parcells. To me winning and losing comes down to the talent you have on the field. Parcells and Ireland have done a pretty good job drafting and bringing in players, but after the way Wanny/Cam/Speilman screwed things up, we could only go up. If Parcells wants out, I say, "Don' let the door hit you on the way out."

it wouldn't surprise me if Ross sold the team to New Mexico & Parcells returned as head coach to the Cowboys taking Ricky with him

    1) obviously, Bill Parcells thinks his work is done in Miami. he has rebuilt the Franchise physically & psychologically, a total reconstruction & the team can now hold its own in the NFL.
    2) has he produced a SuperBowl contender? probably not. but realistically that was never his obligation, never his goal.
    3) he's laid the base for an eventual run @ the BigEnchilada. the BigTuna has always been found of the Giants. I believe the only way he will stay in Miami is if we make a serious run on the championship this year & fall short or if he just decides to get out of football altogether & enjoy the area from a retirement stand point.

thank you Mr. Parcells for lending the Franchise your talent & energies.
whatever you decide to do... you will always be well remembered in Dolfandom

cam cameron is actually who i see when i think of mcdaniels. the guy came in and blew up a team as much to do to his own ego as to better the roster. he didnt get rid of cutler, marshall and nnolan because it was for the good of the team but because he alienated them to the point that he had to get something for them because they were going to shut it down while there. he's a brilliant offensive mind like cameron
but is woeful in his ability to run a team

Hmm, no, McAdolescent is nothing like "nice guy Cameron", if anything he reminds me of Jon Gruden when he took over for Tony Dungy in Tampa, only instead of keeping a really good core, he traded his talent away.

Trading Cutler is akin to trading Warren Sapp

Trading Beast is like trading Derrick Brooks

Shanny did know squat about what it takes a Defense to be successful, Dungy did not know squat about what it took to make an offense successful in Tampa.

McAdolescent did have the good sense to keep his Ronde Barber, Champ Bailey.

i meant in the sense that they're both outstanding offensive coordinators but who both did everything wrong when they were given the head coaching duties. i think they both have potential as head coaches but only if they learn from their mistakes which namely was due to their egos

There is nothing here to read and it doesn't matter.
If he wants to leave,OK. If he stays till 2011 I'm fine with that also.
The guy is 69 years old.He can do what the hell wants to.

    Easy enough.Lets move on now.
