lets hear all the crazy superstitions everyone has when watching the Dolphins. i never do the same thing, when ever the Dolphins are doing good, i just think about what i'm doing and how im sitting and i'll try to do the same thing for as long as possible or until it no longer works. one time i was eating pizza and every time i took a bite, something good happened. so i made that pizza last for the whole game taking baby bites. lol. this season its been taking a drag of a cigarette while on offense. of course i go through way too much cigarettes so i'm hoping to find something new. i would argue that i need to find something new since we lost last week, but the cigarette thing only works for offense and we had a hell of an offense last week. i just need to find something that works for defense.
HA ... I went through that stuff for 35 years, then finally got over it. Some doozies: 1 dog in the TV room, other dogs on the porch; sit with 1 leg under my hip while on defense; keep ashtray in same position ... just idiotic stuff.
When I was young I would wear my Marino jersey damn near every day during the week, but on game day I would wear a particular white Dolphin t shirt. No superstitions anymore... I'm not one of the 53 men on the field so I have no control over what happens.
I have to agree with Aqua. ....use to do all of these crazy things a long time ago,but forgot most of them by now,getting old and I outgrew it .Nothing wrong with it though,whatever works for you. I encourage anyone with a superstition to continue using it as long as they win.
If I sense I'm casting bad mojo, I'll turn off the game, go out to my car, and every few moments scan by the radio coverage for updates. What its supposed to do, I have no idea, but it often seems like it derails impending doom, by teams making impressive fourth qtr rallys at our expense.
