    Everyone knows the cliche'.

After re-watching the fiasco in the third Qtr, I noticed that #50 (thinking of his name makes me sick)lost containment on the opening KO. (There was a blatant Block in the Back by #39 on that play BTW) And after watching and re-watching the schematic on the blocked punt from the MNF broadcast about 10 times I realize that #50 missed his assignment again and allowed Chung to be mentioned in the same sentence as the HOF in only his 21st pro game. Lyndon Murtha was the culprit on the FG atempt, but it was an X's & O's problem and that's on the coach. But #50 is clearly that guy that is my thread title, at least IMO.

    Why isn't #50 gone?

Everyone saw what you saw. Now people are starting to see the impact that players like Charlie Anderson had on this team. Yeah he wasn't a great LB but he was a solid special teams guy. Can we get Charlie back please? Thanks. This guy Carpenter sucks. Parcells/Sparano/Ireland WHOEVER it is love affair with getting players from Cowboys can stop now.

I think these are valid points. We have turned over too many guys at the bottom of the roster and jettisoned guys who have been solid Special Teams guys for us in favor of what are percieved as better backups. There hasn't seemed to be much value given to guys that are primarily ST players. But let's not kid ourselves, since the start of the Trifecta era, Special Teams has been a sore spot at the beginning of every year and they seem to get under control around mid-year. That is not acceptable and clearly one of the reasons Bonamego went bye-bye.
