Well not to derail the "Randy Moss to Miami" thread with talk of lil Beast so here is a different thread on the UDFA Wr:

Wallace is not exactly a household name so not even media capable fans have posted a vid specifically for his play, that and there has not been much of it tbh about it.

The catch at 3:26 is the one that reminded of Beast, but the other two aren't bad for #18, for a large man he has really strong body control.

Besides, it is Thursday, with 10 days until the next game..

Have not seen Floyd play very often tbh about it.

I posed the picture because it shows he caught that pass with one forearm and knew he was going to take a hit, the 3 receptions all feature Wallace doing something to make the play, the 1:12 one and the 3:26 one..he is covered and just leapt, hung, snatched the ball and landed with it.

You can see why they let Turner go.

The thing I like the most about Wallace is that he's a big guy. I like Moore as a player, but Wallace is just so tall. It creates problems and if he makes the most of his opportunities, he could become a big contributor. We already got lucky on one UDFA WR.

Uses that size well, nice vertical leap.

Eh, these guys come and go, but Wallace is on the Sparano Track.

Play well every practice, and in preseason, be willing to play on special teams and most importantly when given a chance to get onto the field during a game, make a play.

I've "seen" Sparano cut guys after having one shot to do something, RGM and Tristan Davis had 3 punt return tries, and were cut, John Nalbone was talked up during the preseason by Mad Dog as a guy they were high on, he made it into 2 games and was cut outright, no practice squad, just adios!

Marlon Moore was talked up in the preseason and made it into two games, he dropped 1 pass and now is on the practice squad.

Wallace has played on ST all 4 games, and played well enough, got 1 target on a back shoulder throw on the sideline and made the catch the exact way he made them in the preseason and in practice.

That is how a bottom of the roster guy moves up the food chain.

No sir, that is why I used apastrophies around "seen".

I tend to follow this bottom of the roster guys from a distance.

Even the infamous (for me) Dimitri Tsoumpas..:pity:

Sometimes, you just can be wrong about a player.

Gotcha. I was just asking, it didn't say your location in your profile and you brought up practices, so I was wondering if you attend them.

Going up and catching a ball like The Beast is one thing.....

Running with the ball after said catch like The Beast is something completely different, and its the way he runs with the ball after the catch that sets The Beast apart from most other receivers.

Looking forward to seeing how Wallace runs with the ball after the catch.

The size, talent and apparently the smarts are all there for this guy to become a hell of a football player. The potential is through the roof, but the coaches are gonna let him develop (we've got no shortage of WRs IMO) until his time to feed comes. Dude could be a monster red zone target just on size though.

I get the hunch that Nat Moore will be calling Alberto Willis's name in the highlight reels plenty for the Dolphins sooner than we expect. :shifty:

Bob Moore and Nat Griese just kill me every preseason.

    http://thefinsiders.com/category/podcast/

If anyone cares to listen to his interview he tells a funny story about walking around the mall and a lady saying "my son loves you".

That is why I call him Lil' Beast..:D

This will be the last season long shots like Wallace will make the team, the core has gelled and barring injuries there will be very little room for UDFA's in 2011.

i dont think brandon is called the beast just because of the way he runs. i think it's the way he plays in general. he is aggressive and tough. two things tedd ginn will never be no matter who coaches him for how long.
you watch marshall play and you can see he is fighting out there. he isnt going to block some one by getting in their way. he does it by man-handling them and trying to knock them down.
even if he only get a 2 yard completion, its exciting because of how hard he fights for it. he is inspiration to watch.

If you have ever listened to the preseason games those two are always butchering players names.

That is were the name Dan Hennington comes from.
