I hope you aren't trying to argue that you didn't score off a bad call by the umpire. If so thats pretty ridiculous.
Hey, be careful, dont wake up those SF Giants FANS? http://forums.thephins.com/showthread.php?t=54813
It's harder on a defense when you have to get four outs in an inning. The bottom line is whether Infante made the play or not there shouldn't have been a runner at second to score.
You guys are right. i forgot it was two outs when it happened. Game is on. Godd luck to you Braves fans.
Seemed like they pitched around Posey. Easy to look back at that and second guess it after Burrell goes yard. But at best the guy is going to get a hit 35% of the time and on base 40%. Make them earn it.
Good D by the ump as well. Replay showed Huff's foot was off the bag. With old blue on your side this series should go pretty well.
Yeah, that was a bad idea. Don't pitch around a rookie when you have a seasoned vet on deck. This will hurt them unless the bats come alive. Since the umps are in great form again tonight it will probably hurt even worse.
That pitch he rung Heyward up on was a joke. At least six inches off of the plate. I hope this officiating crew stays in SF.
This is a hell of a game. I have no idea how it's going to end but it's a good one. I thought the Giants were about to walk off in the tenth. Glaus made a nice play starting the double play at second on the ground ball instead of going home. Ballsy but it paid off.
What a game. There is no quit in these Braves. I hope Wags isn't seriously injured. If so I think Venters can serve as a capable closer. It will just suck to lose the veteran.
man what a win! really hope Wagner doesn't go out like that. i kept waiting for a Barry Bonds reference when Ankiel splashed that ball in McCovey Cove. guess mentioning Barry is probably a no-no these days.
You got lucky. And for the person that continues to call me a "bandwagoner" for supporting the San Francisco Giants, sounds like if anyone is a bandwagoner it's you. Projection, anyone?
Guess ATL was lucky every one of the other times we had a come from behind victory this season.....lead the league in them. If anything, San Fran is lucky the Umpires gave you the only run you scored in Game 1.
It was luck they rallied late against your closer. Luck also carried that baseball into the bay. Luck also produced nine scoreless innings from the Braves bullpen. Troy Glaus' heads up, game saving defensive play in the tenth was also luck. Speaking of luck, if Lee had been ready to hit that last pitch Wilson threw right over the middle of the plate in the ninth that game doesn't even go to 11 innings. An extremely hittable pitch and he knew he was lucky to get out of there after throwing that.
Wagner is out for the rest of the NLDS and NLCS since he is being replaced by either Saito or Jurrjens. Tough break for him for sure, he had a great year and comeback from TJ surgery.
GTFO. The umpires have been blowing the Giants in this series. They've gotten every close call. Wait till we get to Atl, where we have the best record in baseball.
Such a solid solid game last night, reminds me of NY, bleed the starter, and get to the pen...good job Atl, SF are a bunch of front runners anyway....I say Phils and Atl.... Kudos to Ankiel too....for what he has been through, and to remerge like this, you have to respect that....you hear the sound of the ball coming off that bat??!?!??!??!?!
It was something else. You knew instantly the ball was going into the water. Ankiel is only the second player to hit a ball into McCovey Cove in the postseason. I don't have to tell anyone who the other player is.
I can't believe Atlanta won that game. It was an amazing comeback. Have to give them credit. Up 4-0 in the 6th I kind of let up and started talking to this girl at the bar. Next thing I knew the Braves were right back in it. Oh well. I got her number at least. I can see this going to game 5.
Take your chances with Glaus at third, move Infante back to second and get Brooks Conrad off of the Fing field. Please. With Wagner still in we win this game.
