Maybe it's because it's the bye week.
But part of me thinks Monday nights debacle has taken all the excitment out of this season for me. I haven't posted much since Monday night because of how disgusted and upset I've felt towards this team. I didn't want to post anything stupid. (Some people around here should take that approach aswell.)
But I did something Monday night I have NEVER done before.
    I stopped watching.
When the Pats blocked that FG and returned it for a TD, I turned off the TV and went to bed.
I never do that. I may yell. I may *****. I may throw stuff. I even sometimes turn it to another game for 30 seconds or so just to calm down. But I never stop watching. Ever. Until Monday night.
This isn't a sky is falling thread, I just want to gauge everyone else's feeling and mood right now. Does anyone else feel like the excitment has been sucked out of them, and if so, is it because of Monday night or is it simply because of the bye week?

me too man when they blocked the carpenter Fg I was done

Im dissapointed honestly I dont see this team winning more then 7 At this Moment. Im mad Upset our QB is inconsisstent. Our RBs are Old/Injured.

Our star WR gives up on games.
Our Defense looks like the 2007 run D :(

Special teams Should Be in the special olympics:cry:

The only thing I will say about Marshall is this.
I'd be kinda pissed if I was a top 5 WR in the NFL the last 3 years and was mostly being used as a decoy by my new team.

I hope so, and usually I'd agree with you.
But I feel so indifferent right now. I never feel this way about the Dolphins.
Like I said, hopefully it's just the Bye Week Blues.

To go from 2-0 and be excited about the season to this, it's hard to describe. I feel in a way that the season is over. I know there are still 12 more games to be played but look at the next 4 games and 2-6 starts looking like a real possibility. Anyone think we are going to make the playoffs after starting 2-6 or 3-5? My confidence is gone.

Playoffs are almost a dead issue, especially if we are 2-6. Because all the teams we need to beat for a spot, will own tie-breakers over us by that point. This is the lost season if we are 2-6. I don't see us better than 7-9 and most likely 5 or 6 win season will then be our fate, and probably a coaching change at the end of the season.

And of course, starting another rebuild under a new coach, a new philosophy and just Groundhog Day all over again !

2 weeks ago I couldn't stop talking about the Dolphins.

Since Monday night? meh i just tell people we're average if it comes up. Our backups on defense are so horrible it's silly.

For the record I stopped watching after they put in Thiggy.

i'm usually one of the most negative people on the planet when it comes to the dolphins, but idk why, i still have hope that we'll get things together.

most teams have one really bad game per season and at least ours came early (and right before a bye week), giving us time to regroup. i still have hope, but hey, if all fails, at least we have the heat.

edit: btw, i just purchased these dolphins pj pants at kohl's that i think will give us luck. if we wind up making the playoffs, you can thank me later lol :)

I've lost most hope already. I'm really looking forward to the NBA and NHL seasons just to make me feel better about myself. 2-2 isn't bad but the loss to NE, the way it was lost, is/was unforgivable.

I feel ya brother, 2 national night game losses will have negative impact throughout the year.

but check it PG, and I really want you to think about this, and try to quantify it with the fact that we were the worst football team in the NFL 2 and a half years ago. 2 and a half years later, We are thee youngest, starting unit, in the NFL when Odrick and Jerry start, 4th youngest team overall in the league, I repeat, when our 2 young stud rooks are in the lineup we are the youngest in the league...

Disnardo A.K.A ''Good will hunting''?, where you at bro..we need you...

what kind of statistacal analysis can you do in terms of wins losses and playoff appearances as the youngest starting lineup in the league etc?...

All I'll say is this. Last time we got blown out like this, we won 6 of the next 8. Got blown out again by the Patriots at home, and won 5 straight to make the playoffs. I'm sure everyone gave up on the season then too. Sometimes it's a good thing to get your *** thoroughly whooped like this.

I feel that way too. I think a lot of people turned the game off at that point. It was too painful and embarrassing to watch at that point. I'll be watching their games but it will take a good win to get me excited again, the way I was before the Pats game.

I wasn't that incredibly excited about the 2-0 start because of how we won those games, especially the Bills game. I was cautiously hopeful and grateful to have won a couple road games and to have actually won games to start the season instead of immediately going on a losing streak like Sparano's last two seasons, but I was a bit circumspect about our chances given how many opportunities we blew offensively in those two games.
