So basically anytime a lineman holds because the quarterback scrambles it is the quarterback's fault. All the guy had to do was not block him in the back. The whole "cut back across the field three times" is an excuse.
Ginn cut back on that 60 yard kickoff return late in the game. It seems a big part of his game is luring guys to one part of the field and then cutting off towards the other sideline. Seems to work for him.
LOL he heads one way and people chase him and he says ooooohhh noooooooooo imma die if I keep going up in that mess....
Oh yeah..... He had a LONG history of being a "malcontent". He was a bad attitude player, a slacker that never gave full effort and was causing problems since the day we drafted him. He continues to be a malcontent in Cleaveland as well...... Yeah, not....
Do you have anything with to dispute in any way the things I've said? 'Cause I'm pretty sure all those things are completely factual. If Matt Roth was a black, ****-talking wide receiver he'd be regarded as a complete diva based on his deeds.
No, any special teams coach would tell you shouldn't reverse field 3 times for that exact reason. Offensive lineman aren't facing the defensive player's back, and if they are its their own fault.
it is not that hard to not hit someone in the back. First you look at them and see if their back is turned to you and if it is do not hit them. Simple as that. To blame Ginn for that is just making an excuse for the player who did the infraction. I don't remember any outcry when Dante Hall used to go back and forth three times.
Getting back to the main topic, I do not understand at all why people on here liked Matt Roth at all To me Roth was a huge disapointment. The only great play I remember him doing was a goal line stop against the Vikings in 2006 from the nose guard spot. To me Roth was not bright, irrational, a troublemaker, and I did not not see a real upside in him. I was actually glad when we dumped him.
There was an article in the Cleveland newspaper where he pretty much admitted to lying about his injury. Lets face it....when things are shrouded in mystery it's always on the player. Players talk when they are the ones getting bad mouthed. As for Crowder, just because the team has done a poor job finding someone who can play well as a 2 down plugger does not a god Crowder make. Crowder is what he is or he would have gotten a much larger contract from some team out there.
Roth was kind of a dominating run stuffer at OLB. They put him at the right size range and in a position to be blocked by tight ends and be a huge mismatch against them. I think people kind of go overboard with him, especially in terms of his perceived pass rushing skills.
That was his choice though. He could have waited but did not want to take that chance to go along with change
