here it comes enjoy yourself. you want to blame somebody? blame Henne Parcells is no distraction, he's calling it like it is...
Parcells isn't even with the team, I don't even know what your talking about. Sparano is the only one that matters, and like he said, Henne starts!
I don't believe those reports. I think if BP thought Henne wasn't the guy he would have spoken up earlier about it and done so in a manner that let us all know who said what. BP is not the type of guy Mortensen or Carrucci is painting him out to be. BP has no qualms about giving his opinion. Now, is Henne the future? I don't know, but I think so. However, there are a couple of things he really needs to work on. What young QB (or old QB for that matter) doesn't?
Friend NJFINSFAN1: maybe you're right, then again maybe you're not anyway you look @ it. the cat is out of the bag
There's no cat and there's no bag. That's the point. The media makes **** up all the time. The media, especially if you don't give them what they want, will burn you with their "unnamed sources" anytime they wish. BP is outspoken about his opinions. He expressed his opinion of Henne when he got the starting QB job this season.
just a matter of time every is resolved on the playing field the truth will be in the game all I have ever wanted is to win games GoFish! anything is possible, anything may Henne-Pennington-Thigpen take us to a SuperBowl whatever, however p.s. have no delusions, nobody puts words in the mouth of Bill Parcells
i love when people stretch an article to fit an argument. no offense but rejoining club to get away from ridiculous drivel
I haven't read any of this thread but what I do know is that Henne has played well for his 16th(?) start. No way is there as controversy, Henne would have to royally **** up for a few games. And I dont count the Pats game as a major **** up. The reason we were a good team in 2008 was because we didn't turn the ball over and we could run down the clock with our running game. Our special teams has forced us to come from behind and stop running the ball. If our special teams plays decent, ie. no blocks or constant long returns, and no touchdowns, then we can beat any team in this league if we do'nt turn the ball over. Henne is conservative, almost too much, when we play with a lead and I am not worried about him losing a game.
I say Henne stays. You start puling QBs for any reason besides an injury, and people treat you like the Buffalo Bills and you're a bigger idiot for not realizing your guy sucked in the off season.
many are called (NFL-QB's) few are chosen the man will be known by his work on the playing field will we find the truth I wish him or whoever is under the dolphin center the very best of everythingmay we contend in 2010...
Don't forget the Jets game we spot them 14 and then Henne is leading the comeback, blocked punt ball Jets ball in the red zone. Why are we not running the ball and give Henne a chance, I thought you run until they try stop you with seven or eight in the box and then you pass. That's what the Jets do with Sanchez and they are talking MVP.
I think it's funny how after the Patriots game, people were saying Sanchez was head and shoulders better than Henne. However, Sanchez, despite having 8 TD's and ZERO interceptions, only has a QB rating 5 points higher than Henne. Henne has a much better completion percentage, yards and YPA. So, if people are saying Sanchez is having a great year, how is Henne not when he's asked to do much more and yet his stats are either better, or slightly off? I don't like to say this about my fellow fans, and I'm not talking about anyone in particular, but you're dumb if you don't think Henne is having a good season.
That's because Sanchez has had as many, if not more missed ints, than Henne has had completed ints. He's made the kind of throws that honestly you see on ESPN highlight reels as to how a game broke down. Sanchez has 0 ints not because of Sanchez, but because of the defenses he's playing. But in fairness to him, they haven't been caught, so he's still at 0 ints, for now.
I love seeing on ESPN.com, how every report says "Sanchez is playing spectacular, while Henne has been mediocre" most notably Tim Graham. If Henne has been mediocre, then about 20 other QB's in this league should be packing their bags and heading home right about now. He has an enormous amount of pressure on him to perform, and he hasn't done anything to warrant pulling him.
Out of Sanchez's 20 starts he's had a 60+ percent completion rate 4 times. FOUR TIMES!! That's a 20% of teh time...LOL. His career comp rate is 54%! 3300yds, 20TD's, 20 INT's, 6.5Y/A, 71 QBR Out of Henne's 18 games he's had a 60+ percent completion rate 9 times. That's 50% of the time. His career comp rate is 62%! 3900yds, 17TD's, 18 INT's, 6.7 Y/A, 78 QBR. So, if Henne is 'struggling' and about to lose his job, why is Sanchez a "God"? It's the media and how they portray their favorites to the lemmings. The media knows that there are people out there who will just parrot what they say/write and actually believe all of it without doing any of the fact checking on their own.
yes, Parcells was real hard on Simms in his first few years. What people forget now is Parcells stepped aside, he is only a consultant, he can say what ever he wants, it does not matter. The only person who has a say (Sparano), said Henne is his starter.
ok serious post A. BP is famous for using neg motivation, sayi he is disapnted, job is online, will bench, etc to test fortitude. will say anything, doesnt really mean he doesnt like you, means he will test you. once uu have proven yourself, he stands behind u. b. henne is young, diff style qb, more gunslinger. he is learning to rely on his head, not his arm. shown alot of good and some bad, good > bad, but some bad. it has to be expected he would w/ his exp. the key is how he learns from them. c henne has shown growth, the type of passes he has made this year is ght yrs better than last year. d pulling henne is close to starting over, penny isnt l/t answer n how do u know thiggy is? he's proven it? he was on one qb starved team that didnt think he was. henne has> ceiling n 16 games isnt the bench mark patience is the issue IMO. we have waited 11 years, we want it now. trouble is cant expect henne to erase all the prev errors
Good post. (Although, are you texting from a phone or something? lol) Anyhow, Henne has had his ups and downs. Hell, P. Manning and Brees still have their ups and downs too. Why is it that people expect perfection from certain people from the start (Henne) yet give accolades and/or excuses for the play of another (Sanchez)? Henne has the tools. He is getting better. IMO, he will get there. IMO, he can lead this team far into the playoffs.
................ ................ Somebody please 23rd's pipe before he takes another hit. 23rd, I love how you give NO RESPONSE back to our posts when we mention Penny. So what is it we're "playing to do" if we start a QB who began last season a bismal 0-3, underwent season ending surgery, and was the QB of an 11-5 team THANKS TO: a schedule FULL of horrible defenses, the new Wildcat, the Pats w/o Brady, and the Jets w/o Ryan. SUUUUURE, Penny gives us the best chance to win even though he's YET to beat a playoff team as a QB here. Please, either back up your posts for once with some actual reason, logic, facts, etc (just as all posters here do for credibility) or close your trap about your incessant Penny babble. B/c in this "debate" your credibility is at ZERO.
