Actually, no. These scam artists are usually overseas, where they can't be prosecuted. I believe this particular scam is in Canada, where the US cannot do anything about it. It's the same thing with credit cards. Smart Americans know stealing credit cards are pointless because they'll get caught. Stealing identities is the way to go here because there's virtually no trace. EDIT: And that phone number is from British Columbia, so it's definitely Canada.

The crazy thing is - I think it was in your last thread - I posted an article where the originators of this scam went to jail in Canada. And there are still copycats doing it. Amazing. I've been saying for years we should just bomb that country. Nobody gives a **** about the NHL anyhow.
