When does it stop? Obviously Jerry will be back this week or next and Gardner will be back next season. Is Berger the center until most likely we draft center next season. More tinkering again with Sparano at the helm. Damn it.
Consistancy usually comes with time spent together. This line has never been the same for long enough.
I'm not sure that Sparano being an Ex Oline (and Te) Coach is a good thing though, sometimes that perfectionist comes out and demands things the players they have are not capable of, so they churn them out and bring in more players who still cannot fill those voids. The Te's is another area, John Nalbone was here for two years and did not last 3 games, why was he kept around that long? Why haven't they invested in a better quality Te? Don't misunderstand, I like Mickey Shuler, luke warm on Jerod Mastrud, but both are marginal type prospects, and neither has proven a thing typically we run 2 Te sets and we just have not had the guys to do so this year.
The better o-lines have continuity and they may not have that for a few more years. Carey seems to breaking down, Berger is good but is he really starter quality, and Incognito is probably not a long-term guy. So that's 3 of 5 slots that could be tinkered with.
next year we get a center and a gaurd and the year after that we get a rt to replace a declining carey and we should be set barring more injuries.
We'll see. I hope you're right, I expect your wrong...Either way rest assured Tony doesn't care what I think.
Yes we are, and those 2 victories come against an 0-5 team and a 1-3 team, not exactly something I would hang my hat on.
I share your concerns. I keep thinking we got it right, and then it's back to the drawing board. Smiley and Grove "could" have made us great but.......
Agree. As to individual players, aside from Long and Davis, we have not seen the best these guys can do.
