In Loxahatchee today at Publix. That is very interesting. Parcells fully moving out today. The timing.
They are known friends and associates, so I would expect them to be seen together at times. Ireland's contract pretty much prevents the hiring of another Czar, but I would not at all be shocked if Ross consults with Peterson independently. I would be surprised, however, to see him a formal, titled role with the team.
If Peterson comes in we are done!!! In 20 years at Kansas City he only want to the playoffs six times, the farthest he ever went was to the afc championship game, let's just hope that Ireland/Sparano can suceed without Parcell because if they don't this team will have a major down fall if Peterson is in charge.
What had the Chiefs done the previous 10 years (in the 80's)? We could do worse than Carl Peterson... IF it comes to that.
So true and IF CP does get the job, look for Bill Cowher's name to surface. You heard that here first. I still believe in JI and TS, but if a move is coming, then just maybe....
They're literally business partners. And friends. Of course they're together at times. Listen when Jeff Ireland got his contract amended by Stephen Ross to say he answers only to Stephen on football matters, he ensured that Carl Peterson comes onto the team's football operations only one of two ways: 1. Jeff Ireland could be fired by Stephen Ross and Ross could subsequently hire Carl Peterson, 2. Jeff Ireland could make the decision himself to hire Carl Peterson as someone that would serve UNDER Jeff Ireland.
Ireland’s revised contract stipulates that he only reports to Stephen Ross. Therefore, someone like Carl Peterson cannot come in and hold the same job Bill Parcells had, because Ireland contractually can ignore that person. Ireland is fully in charge unless and until he is fired.
I actually said his name a few weeks ago.. since they do have a history together, it makes some sense.
I'm pretty sure I've heard Bill Cowher's name said by a Dol-Fan about the Miami job once every month since 2007.
Ross and Peterson go back to the USFL together with the Stars franchise. Which is interesting with so much uncertainty regarding the 2011 NFL season. Funny how things can come full circle like that.
I could have sworn that over the summer when these rumors began of Peterson to Miami that Peterson himself said he had no interest in the job at all.
Cheifs had some good players while Peterson was there the bigger problem was hiring coaches like Herm Edwards... If Peterson comes in and guts the staff, I don't know if I can take it anymore it seems like we have been in a perpetual state of starting over ever since Marino left
Not that I want Peterson here. but you're slamming him because our franchise has done what in the past 20 years? How many AFC championships have we been to in the last 20 years? answer - that's right, 1. Our best case scenario is that Peterson comes on and gives Sparano and Ireland another year or two. more likely, Ireland is gone and SParano sticks on for another year to keep builiding the foundation. Again, I love Sparano, so I hope he sticks around. But for all you know, Peterson comes in and hires Bill Cowher or John Gruden. we could do worse.
Why would they be at Publix in Scratchahatchee? We're they picking up a 12 pack for their mudding trip? Cause there ain't much else to do there.
Exactly why I asked. You can tell alot about a man, depending on his choice of meat. gay joke in 3..2..1....
It's funny this has not been mentioned with this report. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d...e=HP_headlines __________________
Nobody goes to Winn-Dixie anymore out there because they shut that **** down. I hear they r turning it into a Wal-mart grocery store
Yeah, I'm not going to miss him. Won't miss his disparaging comments on Henne either. Lost a great deal of respect for this man since the beginning of the season. I think a lot of people feel the same way.
So it is true....... we ARE trading Sick for 3 subs and a 3 liter?! It's been nice knowin ya Sick, but I'd prefer the sammich anyday, especially when I haven't had dinner yet.
