Man I use to think the same thing about Crowder, but after traveling to GB and sitting right behind the Fins bench, seeing Channing up close and hearing and watching everything he does for this team, the guy is a huge asset.

Channing is constantly communicating with his defenders. Reminding them their assignments and he almost kicked Allen's *** on the sidelines for failing to follow orders. They had to seperate Crowder from him, cause he wanted to kill him.

Crowder told Allen to press his WR & Allen did not, the result a first down. Im telling you Channing is like a coach out there & you could tell he was taught very well by Zach Thomas.

Crowder should kick someones *** for leaving the middle of the field open on the the Rodgers sneak. :wink2:
Seriously fighting with team mates on the sideline is not productive at all.

Every time Crowder runs his mouth it is like nails on a chalkboard to me. Then it always seems like that week he goes out and gets his *** handed to him.

The problem with crowder overall is, his mouth writes checks his body cant cash..

He doesn't have the explosive power game that matches up well...

He had a good game last week, and some of these things iam seeing about his presense and leadership are encouraging..

Right now I do appreciate him out there, I like the emotional edge and energy he brought to the defense..If he can get some of our explosive athlete's on defense hyped, then iam all good.

All our coaches do that to the players. He should practice what he preaches, but he is not physically able to do it. Like DJ says below...

Only problem I have with Crowder is the dancing around after a decent 1st or 2nd down play.

Players should only be allowed to do this on 3rd down stops or sacks.

Because what good is a run stuff on first down when the opponent picks up 15 yards on 2nd and/or 3rd down

Well because in the five years here he has been mediocre. Once again we sit here now in his 6th year waiting for Channing to be the player he thinks he is.
Two and a half sacks and one INT in five seasons. No playmaking abilities at all because he has bad awareness. The guy gets by being an athlete and that is it. Big motor guy small on talent.

Still doesn't make sense to me.

he is still a fine player. he has been good for the investment. He was only a 3rd round pick. He isn't a great player, however he is far from bad. All statistics prove that Miami is better with him than without him.

In fact you can show facts and statistics to back them up and people still act like he is the worst linebacker in the league. I have seen people put up stats of players who have done worse than him, claiming they are better. Case in point, Tim Dobbins. Much worse player, yet people were claiming that he was going to be better than Crowder. Wasn't even close.

I think a big reason why our defense generally performs better when he plays is that he helps keep everybody on the same page. I mean its obvious he's better than Dobbins, but its not like he's a perfect LB. His impact on the defense overall is greater than just his level of play.

Exactly! Which brings me to one conclusion. The guy isn't as commited to physical training as he is mental (hitting the weights rather than watching film). Zach was obsessed with the mental aspect, but took care of his body like NO OTHER!!! He married his dietician for pity's sake!!!

Sure, Crowder bought Zach's hyperbolic chamber but he needs to put down the cheeseburger and pick up some extra physical training or he'll never be anything other than slightly-above average. Crowder's mind in Wake's body might get to the level of Zach or JT... That should be his goal if he wants to attain that next level.

Iam guilty in some of the things you mention, I haven't been a big fan and I admit to maybe losing track of some of the impact and energy he does bring to our team...as far as his first game of the season goes, I'am good with him..and will try to look for his strengths more on the field.

He's not meant to sack the quarterback (until this year) playing at MLB.

We never blitzed the MLB in the past so how's be suppose to get those sacks?

The Crowder hate is unreal, just unreal.

Honestly... the performance of our defense when he is not on the field, versus when he is, for the most part, is pretty noticeable. He helps to get that D on their toes. He's the one trying to pump them up after they let a play slide, or getting on them to be better.

It's one thing to have coaches riding you, or trying to build you up. It's another thing to have the guy standing right next to you while the play goes down doing the same things.

This team is better with Crowder, bottom line. He talks smack and runs his mouth, but that's part of the whole package, and I'm ok with that. Can't say I agree with him on the "monster hits" though.

I'm a Crowder fan and don't understand the hate he gets from people on this forum. They are clearly a better team defensively with him in the game.

    Good!
Can I please ask you to:
Learn how to track a runningback
    -
Learn to wrap him up when you tackle
    -
Please drop the Piano when you miss the lane and you are jogging him down from behind.
    -
Thanks, and keep up the good work.

Its not hate, its just for 6 years I have seen his athleticism and instinct's on display and have not been impressed...When you see him not be able to play the flat, the tight end in space, turn and run, running into blockers without intention, and with intention, I start looking for an upgrade..

Right now I think I may of underestimated him on some level's, and I want so bad for him to be an impactful player, so iam giving him a new set of expectation's and are gonna watch closely to see if he can truly be part of a championship defense..

It's just my personal opinion that he doesn't have the strength, power, or athleticism to hide his weaknesse's for long...we'll see, I hope he continues to shut my mouth..

Right now I appreciate how he's elevating the play of other's...that's something I never gave him credit for and that's my bad.

He drops back in coverage yet 1 INT in five seasons. Did you hear that? 1 lonely INT and that was a gimme from Brady that a schoolgirl could catch.
Explain and justify that please

Ive never been a huge Crowder fan but I agree with his stance on this issue. Big hits ARE part of the game and if the NFL is going to advertise violence and go so far as to sell pictures of the Massaquoi hit, the same hit they are fining Harrison for, well then they too have to accept that big hits are part of the game.

Dirty hits however are not. So if they are going to sell the photos of the Harrison hit and admonish the player...well they cant have it both ways. Which is it going to be?
