Speaking of fines and suspensions. How come Brett Favre hasn't been suspended for his head shots yet? :shifty:

Good points, these fans in Miami just don't really know how mean James really is. He's the guy who could walk into a bar and clear everybody out if he wanted to. Best thing for your players to do is simple: don't go across the middle and attempt catches unless you're deep downfield and don't fight for yardage when advancing a football.

Probably learned all that "Mean" from you, right?
Yep, only a tough guy waits for somebody to go up in the air to pummel them, or while they are concentrating on getting an extra yard to take that cheap shot.
    :pity:

No, Fishfan, you're wrong. Hanging your receiver out to dry in the area of James Harrison is a cheap shot from the QB, not James. Fighting for more yards in the middle of the field Harrison is on instead of just going down is a self-inflicted cheap shot caused by the ball carrier, not James. Man, if you guys played in the AFC North, you wouldn't last long, trust me (and you would be in the basement with Cleveland, too).

I really hope you can make the Wild Card and then come to Pittsburgh for the Divisional Round in January.....we'll find out what you're truly made of, trust me. Your attitude is exactly why they need Arena Leagues and Flag Leagues around the country, and it's why soccer is becoming so popular in the US.

Soccer is not becoming more popular in the U.S. Its right around water polo in interest as far as I can tell.

They MUST be tainting the water where you live.

Right, little Jimmy is so damn tough, that's why he skipped practice and is crying in his little yellow piss rag about the sanctions.
Maybe if he learned to actually tackle, none of this would be an issue.

First of all this is a forum for the Miami Dolphins, mammals not fish.

So what you are really saying is that all it takes to be good in the NFL is just to be a head hunter... Just to let you know there is more to the game than inflicting pain, really, you should take the blinders off. There are actually talented people that can do amazing things other than trying to remove the head of ones opponent.

Really? Come into my space and it's your fault I'm gonna kill you... I'll give you the QB if he leads a WR anyplace on the field, that just lends it's self to possible injury in any number of ways, but it is still on the defender if he is purposely going for the kill shot and not tackling properly. That's just head hunting and I hope the league runs those that think that ripping the other guys head off instead of stopping them correctly right out of the league. No room here for those that live for purposely damaging the other player.:pity:

LOL, give me a break. You think our players or coaches are scared? GTFO. They respect the Steelers just like us fans do, as we should. They're a hell of a football team. But we won't lay down for anyone. If you think the Steelers are going to come in and push us around, you've got another thing coming. We're a pretty damn physical team ourselves buddy.

    You're wasting your time.
Pittsburgh is the only team in the league that actually has players at the NFL calibur.
The rest all belong in the Arena Football league.

I've always said this...that defensive players don't know to tackle anymore....ever since Lawrence Taylor came onto the scene. No one knows how to TACKLE anymore...al they know how to do is hit.

They aren't changing any rules right now though, they are just going to better enforce rules that are already in place.

Ok, maybe they should have had their PA raise a stink about the rules when they were implemented, not a couple years down the road. And it's funny that many people commenting (the players I mean) are hardly ever offenders of the rules.

it doesn't matter when they start protesting. The point is simply that they have finally had enough. Hopefully they organize this protest and get the rule changed
