I'm not watching the video. He can go to hell. Anybody who watches football and is not a Steelers fan knows he called that the wrong way. Screw him and the horse he rode in on.

If this costs the Jets home field and we don't even make the playoffs by a couple of games, then some of the sting will be taken off of it for me.

Don't hold your breath. The refs will have the JETS back. As they proved last week; also the call on Clemons wk 3 to convert for them.

"I don't know if you have to jump up and do a backflip with the ball for it to be conclusive..." Hahaha. At least Crowder can make a bad situation funny. [and he has come through against the run since he's been back]

    Let me get this straight.

Steratore says there was no point in determining who recovered the fumble because it was ruled a TD....

But the refs on the field determined the Dolphins recovered the ball and though it wasn't officially ruled that way at the end of the play, they admitted it was.

Yet, when it was reviewed they had no say in the final decision...

    Am I missing something here?

The real art with most Dolphins fans on here is the art of *****ing about the officials. They can't see all the mistakes the players/coaches make.

Touchback: When a ball is dead on or behind a team’s own goal line, provided the impetus came from an opponent and provided it is not a touchdown or a missed field goal. via nfl.com

What i don't get is if the ball was determined to be neither teams ball(ie. Dead Ball), why would it not be a touchback?

Oh and him scratching his neck is a sure sign of him lying, at least in baseball when the ref cost that kid a perfect game , he apologized
this guy is a shmuck, I hope a free safety breaks his neck.

This is where the the argumen t falls apart. N o one is saying Miami played perfectly or that they can't look back and see places to improve, but the fact remains that they FORCED A FUMBLE ON THE GOALLINE. They also recovered it.

But the refs came back and took the ball from them and gave it to the opposing team. It is the definition of being screwed over. As Dansby said, the ball DID bounce our way in thie game...and the refs gave it back to the other team.

The execution/coaching excuses that others are trying to defer too hold zero water. Miami got hosed, and it cost them the game most likely.

If it's true that the refs on the field were calling "white ball" and told our plays that the ball was ours, how great would it be for these guys to man up and call out the booth upstairs, saying they indeed believed miami had the ball and that the review was wrong?
they can't, because the NFL would find a way to fire them for being honest, but it would be amazing.

I L O V E the fact that Dansby is pissed about what happened. He could just call the wife to see what's for dinner, since he is making so much money it doesnt really matter to him.............but......it DOES matter to him. Sounds like Zach used to sound.

this is interesting, I hadn't thought of it this way. with the idiotic ball out of the back of the end zone =touchback rule, you'd think that rule would apply here too.

Every week there are what seems like 6-7 threads bit hint about the officials. Damn, if the Dolphins were a better team, then maybe we wouldn't be talking about the officials. Seems every week most of you all turn into women.

If the officials got the calls right, and didn't cover their ineptitude with "rules" they make on the spot, then yes we wouldn't be talking about the officials.

This is the third call against the fins in the last two years the refs have reviewed and still got wrong. I find that unbelievable!
    1. New Orleans non TD on the interception return.
    2. Ronnie not being given a first down last week.
    3. Today

I can't think of three other calls that were reviewed and confirmed incorrectly in the last two years.

I have to say the call last week left me dumbfounded as to how inept that mark was...even after replay. The performance of the officials in the endzone today will be a benchmark of HOW NOT TO DO IT to the league for years to come

Good teams don't always blow you out but when the game is on the line, they make the play. That would be the forced fumble. We made the play. It was obvious no Steeler recovered the ball. A dead ball in the endzone is a touchback. **** this ****. Boik, Muck, Maynard, sorry for the profanity today!

I don't see how any Dolphins fan can not be outraged about that call. Regardless of what you think about the rest of the game. Blame the team first I guess. If they were just light years better than every other team in the league I guess they wouldn't need to worry about poor officiating.

I had a couple Steelers fans watching the game with me today.

They even said we got screwed. That's how bad it was.

They were happy to win the game (understandably) but from the overhead shot, Big Ben clearly fumbled the goal into the end zone, and 3 dolphins jumped on it with the advantage over a stray arm of a Steeler.

We were all watching the replays and they all were saying game over. When the Ref announcement came, they were as shocked as anybody.

And you show yourself as someone who clearly is ignorant to football. This isn't about a blown PI or holding call. This was a defensive play that was made, where Miami stripped the ball, recovered it, and sealed the victory, only to have it taken from them due to ineptitude.

It is justified this year. The argument that if Miami plays better they aren't in this position is folly because, they DID play well enough to win.
