There's 2 Dolphins players hands around the ball, and one Steeler trying to reach but obvously being very far away.
You know it's bad when even ESPN analysts agree it was a blown call. It's not often we get them on our side.
thats not conclusive.to have possesion of the ball the player must have definate control of the ball while making a football type move.had a dolphin player gotten up and run it back the other way for a t.d it may be considered a footbal move but laying on the field then getting up and handing the ball to the ref is not considered a football related move. master of sarcasm strikes again!
The same guy who pushed the ball over the goal-line despite being down in the Superbowl and getting away with it in front a line judge? No way he'd ever lie. Never mind the off-the-field stuff.
On TV, right after the refs lame excuse, they showed Francis walkin out of the endzone with the ball held high
Its NOT? Did you see the rest of the play where the Dolphins player gets up and has the Ball raised?? I think that clearly shows we HAD control.
but raising the ball in the air is not a "football"move.francis would had to have hiked the ball and completed a pass or run in a "football"manner.you have to have control plus "football"move.just ask calvin johnson.
Well honestly some ref should have followed up the play and watched the scrum as a manner of course. This clown just stopped the play and walked away!
That guy is such a scumbag, It's such a blatant lie yet you can see he feels so confident in himself saying it. The underlying tones from all thatmake me so disgusted that he is still playing in the NFL even putting aside the events that transpired in this game. Mark my words we have not heard the last from Rapistberger and the law I give it another two years at most before he is behind bars.
Not sure if this was talked about already but I have an interesting question. For arguments sake what if it was 4th down when he fumbled into the endzone and the replay clearly confirmed this. Then what would the refs say? Either it would HAVE to be ruled a touchdown by Pittsburgh for recovering the fumble OR a touchback by the Dolphins for recovering it. No in between, one or the other. But since it was only 3rd down its like the refs got a free pass by saying "were not sure what happened, lets give the Steelers the ball back." On fourth down they would have been forced to come up with an answer as to who recovered the damn ball. And that clearly would have been Miami`s ball.
It may not be definitive but two Dolphins players have the ball in hands. Dansby has two mitts on it with a Steeler on his back. I call dead ball right there...
BINGO!!!!!..The beginning and end of the discussion. If they would have done what they were supposed to do...there would be no problem
A dead ball in the ****ing end zone is a ****ing Touchback. Rules make it so that when a call is questionable, the Refs sort out the ****ing scrum so that a possession call can be made going into the replay so you don't have to call the replay inconclusive.
No it shoiws one Fin with a arm on the ball and another arm that you can't tell who it is. Look, I saw the Fins player get up out of the pile with the ball, I know we got it, but that pic shows nothing.
After Jeff Fisher (Titans coach) spilled the beans last week that the refs asked him to spend a time out in the waning seconds against Jacksonville on the Monday Night Football game last week for advertisements, and he wouldn't, and we see Jaguars coach Del Rio called inexplicable consecutive time outs when down multiple scores with 1 min left on the clock, I'm set. The NFL is a ***** corporation now. They gave the Steelers the game. It's pathetic.
last week the call on ronnie brown being short on 4th down and now this!!!??? this is getting rediculous!!
Ask and you shall receive. I snapped this screenshot as it happened. Gene had another ball tossed in to place for the PAT, which is in his hands. Francis has the ball from the pile.
That is Alama-Francis in the picture. You know the one. The guy who got up with the ball in his hands raised high.
Unfortunately, this is not conclusive. I agree it sucks but we had our chances. In the end they made more plays than us.
when the ref blows the whistle and calls td then how can you determine who has the ball. Not happy with it but we should have driven the field afterwards --- only needed 40 yards/
The ref's shouldn't have blown the play dead until it was over. Then made their call. It would have changed how the replay was viewed. The goal line ref prematurely calling it a TD was the wrong call, which ultimatley limited what/how they had to review the challenge. If they would have let the play finalize (IE: see who comes up with the ball from the pile, then make the call on the field) it would have altered the outcome of the TD or no TD. Still garbage officiating that cost us a Win. Good game by our guys though. Really thougth they played well, even on Special teams. We are 3-3 so far this season, far from over yet.
