I am tired of crying about yesterday, has anybody watched the bengals this year and what can we expect?
I know when Palmer throws for more than 300 yards they lose. If they can't run the ball and get down early they struggle.
I've watched a couple of games. -Carson Palmer is now a sort of lesser version of Chad Pennington, his arm is gone. -Defense is not as good as you'd think they would be, they have a total of 6 sacks on the season..as a team. -Ced Benson is having a good yr, but so is TO.
Fortunately I'm not really thinking that anymore. But I agree. They are must wins to stay in the conversation.
I think the dolphins come out pissed and put on a show. I havint felt this strongly about them doing that ever. I just think theyve had enough of these close calls and want to put someone away quickly. Either way, I'll take a W
TO helped the Bills beat us last season and TO is a Bangel now. Thier D seems to have lost a step or two this season.
Which Bengals are you watching padre? I've seen all but 1 of the Bengals games and Carson Palmer's arm is way, way, better than Chad Pennington's. This statement is absolutely, totally off base. His accuracy on the other hand, is in fact gone, most of the time. And if you think Chad Henne makes some dangerous decisions and/or throws, then I have a feeling you'll come away from watching the game next week thankful Henne is our QB and not Palmer. As far as game planning goes, they'll try and throw deep to TO and work Chad Johnson over the middle and on out rights. Their TE, Jermaine Gresham, is a huge threat and they love to get him the ball on quick screens (yes they throw TE screens) and TE pop passes. Benson is not having nearly as good of a year as last year. They try to run stretch plays to both sides (think the Colts back when they had Addai and Dominic Rhodes, but put it at half speed). Benson's had some fumble issues this year - he cost them the game last week fumbling when he wasn't even touched... Defensively, I think we can run on them. Jonathan Joseph was hurt and missed the game last week - he's a great CB, but he cannot catch at all. Hall is pretty good, and has underrated leaping ability (see his pick against the 6'5" Michael Jenkins last week). I've met Hall before and he's most definitely shorter than the 5'9" or 5'10" they list him at. Their LB corps is pretty physical - Maualuga is an absolute hammer, but he can be exposed when forced to cover. Fasano, if used properly, could have a big week this week. Pacman Jones is the real deal as a returner and is a very solid nickelback, and still plays man coverage really well. Bess might have a rough go of it early on, but I think we'll manage to get him involved. Their safeties are putrid in coverage, and if ever there were a week to go deep this is it because the Bengals pass rush is Terrible (capital T intended). Their special teams are very solid, and I feel like we're bound to get one taken to the house on us this week. Pacman did take a rough hit late in the game, but I haven't heard if he was injured/concussed or what have you. I will say as a whole team, the Bengals are undisciplined and have a ton of false start penalties. If Cameron Wake doesn't get at least 2 sacks, I'll be pretty disappointed as Andre Smith is a travesty, even at RT, and Andrew Whitworth struggles with speed rushers. I think, as always is the case with the Sparano-led Dolphins, it'll be a close game, but we'll walk out of Cincinnati winners.
They better win because me and close to 100 other Dolphins fans are going to be in one section. haha I can't wait
I think we can definitely win this game, but we have GOT to work up some good coverage schemes for TO and Chad 85. I do NOT want to see one of those two running down the field with a freaking linebacker single-covering them.
Actually, there are Dolphins fans with tickets elsewhere in the stadium who are going to come to our section and try to swap their tickets with Bengals fans. It is a win/win. The Bengals fans get a ticket upgrade, and away from us, and the Phins fans get to sit with what will be the largest single group of fans in the entire stadium!
