We could also be Steelers fans. Or Jets fans. Or Pats fans. Or Ravens fans. Or Giants fans. Or any other fans of teams not 3-3 :shifty:

    We could be Broncos fans.

We had one stolen vs. the league's #1 team.

Denver trailed 59-14 thru 3 quarters at home versus Oakland. They're 2-5.

From the things could be worse file:

    1. We might have the best offensive tackle tandem in the league.
    2. While we don't currently have the best outside linebacker tandem in the league, we will some time in the future.
    3. We have one of the best all-around receivers in the league.
    4. We have one of the best slot receivers in the league.
    5. We have two premier 3-4 defensive linemen and one more in Soliai can perform as a premier guy in maybe 1 of 2 games.
    6. We have overall one of the best linebacking corps in the NFL.
    7. We have a free safety that's worth a damn.
    8. We have one of the hottest young corners in the game.
    9. We have a very efficient QB with a great arm.
    10. Despite our frustrations we have a relatively mistake-free team that should lead to consistent wins against mediocre and sub-mediocre teams.

The Dolphins have faced three of the very best teams in the NFL. They got blown out against one, due to a slew of special teams miscues. One came down to a final play in the closing seconds, and the other came down to a victory stolen by the referees.

You'd like to have stolen at least one of those games...but we showed we can compete against big time opponents, like 2009. But unlike 2009, I think we're playing the same kind of mistake-free, execution-oriented ball that helped the 2008 team become so deadly consistent against inferior teams. This is why I believe that 10-6 should be the expectation of this football team, depending on what happens injury-wise (knock on wood), and there's a legitimate chance they could end up 11-5.

Whether either record is good enough for the playoffs...we'll see. The conference is pretty tough and it's a huge hindrance to have two other teams in your division vying so strongly for playoff position. Remember in 2008 the Patriots went 11-5 and missed the playoffs.

which makes these losses hurt even more.

We should have beaten the Jets
We had the Steelers beaten despite crappy playcalling.

Poor pathetic Ben, he's liar and a rapist . Better to lose than to get a cheap win and say "I recovered the ball" what a ***

Agreed. Hopefully in the very near future, like Sunday, we can add one of the best running games. R & R have proven over, and over again that they can. I have to believe that is coming.

I'll say this. If we lose to the Bengals, I will be genuinely concerned. That would be a game that would change my view of the Dolphins. So far, I haven't seen a game that changed my view of the team because frankly they've done what I expected them to. I expected a win against Buffalo, they delivered it. I expected a win against Minnesota, they delivered it. I expected a loss to New England, we lost. I expected a win against Green Bay, they delivered. I expected a loss to Pittsburgh, they lost.

If anything they've outperformed my expectations slightly because they actually beat Pittsburgh on the field, just not in fine print.

I'm with ya. The young guys on D are play better than I thought. The O is not yet as good as I thought. IF everything comes together, we could be looking at a nice second half run.

There's a legitimate chance we go 8-2 the rest of the season?
As much as I respect your posts I must respectfully disagree with you on this.If this team goes 8-8 we should rejoice
There are just to many problems on both offense and defense

The three losses we have come from an opponents combined record of 15-3.

Oh, and we could be the 49ers. The most over-hyped team in the history of the NFL.
