    Haven't seen this discussed...

Miami held the Steelers to 58 total yards on the ground, holding Reshard Mendenhall to 37 yards on 15 carries.

That's the fewest rushing yards from the Steelers this year, and only twice last year did they rush for less than that (against Titans and Ravens).

Mendenhall was held to the lowest yards per rush of his career as a starter.

    Not bad Dolphins D!

You also have to remember that 7 points came from the Hartline TO at the MIA25...

I am looking at a Defensive Thread where we will see the points allowed from out D after opponents sart on their side of the field...

right now our D have allowed 14.5 points per game on average...

the highest allowed was against the Jets...

That has a bit to do with Crowder being back in the lineup.

there doin it with pretty much a 4 man def line rotation..

Wakes leverage on the edge is helping quite a bit as well.

I was wondering if we might take a look at Ferg for the second half. It would give Soliai some help, and allow Starks to go back to where he played soo well last season. I read where he is still involved by helping Soliai after each game by phone. Just a thought.

Our run defense is one of the best in the NFL. We have played some of the toughest teams in the NFL but I am sure there will be some that find something wrong on a play that someone missed a tackle on. Now, our pass D , thats a little shaky but we do get some good pressure on the QBs.

It's incredible how different our defense, especially run defense plays with and without Channing Crowder. People can criticize him all they want, but the fact is the defense plays much better when he's out there. Huge props to Cam Wake also, who's proving to a very good every down linebacker with the plays he's making in the run game.

Crowder is better than most people give him credit for. Not great about I would definitely say he is above average.

Last week the D also held the Packers running game in check, before Crowder returned 120 yds or so per game was what opponents could expect to grind out, now 2 games in a row under 80 yds.

I also believe that Crowder makes others around him better, not only by his play but, by the emotion he brings to the game. I've seen others feeding off that in the last two games.

I think Channing gets everyone lined up properly and makes certain they know their jobs, each time, every time, as a player his stats as mediocre, but as a play caller he is actually the brains of the Defense.

I think Dansby is happier to be an athlete and make plays.
