Just asking, I'm from germany so I understand every word they say in this scene. I see the subtext which totally doesn't match, especially when it comes to the names. So is it funny for you guys? Can you "imagine" that they talk about Alabama in this case? It's hard for me, so it would be interesting for me to know. And no, I don't care that they are messing with my language
The subtitles have nothing to do with what they really said. It plays off Hitler's emotion most of all.
This same video has been going around the internet for years. People just sub-title it differently and think they've done something creative.
Yeah I know how it is meant to be. It's just that it's not funny when u are actually able to understand what is really said. Well, nevermind, I guess it is funny when u dont understand it. Just imagine that Hitler speaks about the war in english and then you see the subtitles in english about a totally different topic. That's kinda how it is for me.
Germanfinfan, no offense intended, I assure you. I do apologize if it did. Of course the subtitles have nothing to do with what is actually being said, nor do I think the video is meant as a diminishing of the language or the German people whatsoever. Would have been just as funny had it been a scene from some French movie about Napoleon or George Bush, if he was actually intelligent enough to speak a language, any language even English! Go Phins, beat the Bengals and get this season back on track!!
No guys, I'm not offended in anyway. It's just not that funny for me because I understand both, the language spoken and the subtitles. But I guess I would find it funny if the spoken language was italien or whatever language I don't understand
Oh, and it also has nothing to do with the Hitler topic. I dont mind if people make jokes about that monster.
