Glad they have big problems. I hope they have a meltdown as does Chelsea and Arsenal finally wins the table.

    Very much agreed.

Either he's been out of form for awhile now, or he lost a step post-injury. He certainly didn't impress during the WC

From a Premier League Podcast standpont that covers all the teams (I enjoy Blackburn Rovers) which does anyone recommend?

I do listen to the Official Barclays PL podcast? Any others, or BR specific?

Its very interesting at the moment. Liverpool are a mess and could even struggle to stay up this season. United dont have the funds to replace guys like Giggs and Scholes, who are still the best midfielders they have and now Rooney wants out. United are falling behind more and more with every season that passes.

If the owners of both Man City and Chelsea pulled out tomorrow, then those clubs would be up to their necks in ****. Neither one could maintain the wage struture they currently have.

Spurs are interesting because if they can maintain CL football then they could become a threat.

You guys are by far in the best shape though. You guys have you stadium, a superb youth system and continuously turnover a profit every year. What concerns me abit about Arsenal is what happens if Stan Kroenke takes over.

Great result today, enjoying reading Man City fans on twitter claiming they outplayed Arsenal and/or it was 14 vs 10! lol

Thought Nasri and (can't believe i'm gonna say this but..) Fabianski were outstanding today.

Good result for Liverpool too - especially as I cant stand Sam Allardyce.

Kroenke isn't a bad owner though. Don't lump him in with the Glazers just because they're both American

I'll agree with the fact that Arsenal is probably the best-run club in the EPL though, if we're including finances and talking top-to-bottom.

I'd rather have an American owner than say a Arabian. With the American's it's business / investment. With the Arabians you get the feeling it's for fun and what happens when the get bored and decide to pull out and simply write off huge amounts of money? It's not been done but it would be a nagging thought at the back of my head...

Well done to the Gunners for last nights victory. Gave us a good ole fashioned *** kicking . Hope you guys go on and win it.

As for Newcastle, not impressed but will hold back my criticism seeing it is the Carling Cup.

I thought you guys played well at times, comedy first goal that set the tone for the second half collapse.

I hope we win it this year just so we have something to celebrate other than managing to keep hold of someone!

I don't get the criticism of Houghton though and why they released a statement backing him. He's not doing too bad with what he's got.

Seeing whats left in the competition, you guys should at least make the final and with Wenger looking to win anything he can, I think you guys will win it.

I have never been Houghton's biggest fan, but I found the statement bizarre also. I haven't even seen too many Newcastle fans looking for his head in the 1st place! In fairness to him he deserves to at least the end of the season for getting us back in the Premier league. Its actually nice to not be surrounded in turmoil for once.

Seems Newcastle will now be in the Donovan sweepstakes along with Everton and Man City for his next loan spell.

Could really do with him as we are pretty thin on the wings since we lost Ben Arfa for the season.

    Sold???????????

I agree he should be loaned out to get more 1st team opportunities, but to sell him when he is only 21 and has massive potential would be crazy IMO.

I do think his development is being hampered by the little playing time he is currently getting though. I think we would gladly take him off you for the year if needed :shifty:

Wherever Landon goes, I will follow by watching - so i might be discussing Newcastle matches with ya  (i already like carroll, so i've been watching off and on)

I really wanted to see him transfer to the EPL earlier this year but understand why they need him to stay in MLS.

If we can avoid United and the press trying to make it into a bigger game than it actually would be I'd hope that we'd have a good chance of winning it this year.

I'm not convinced but as emerald say's he could do with the experience of going out for a season long loan it did Jack Wilshire the world of good - Newcastle would probably be a good destination or even Bolton - might toughen him up a little too.

It would be good to see him back in the EPL, he was a major reason for Everton's success last year.

It's surprised me that he isn't in one of the top European leagues to be honest. He's definitely a marquee player.

Song billong scores again, favorite player. I didnt realize vela was so young. He has been around for a while. Guess loan would be for the best as he is probably the 6th forward/winger now. I just have never liked him. Completely one footed player with slow decision making. He is much better coming off the bench than starting it seems. I almost want to see more of J.E.T than vela, looks like he could be a better option up front. Oh well now gif time.

Just watched the game wish green made some more

bale playing great again. It's too bad he is stuck on the team he is and we don't get to see him play for a real title contender:shifty:

what is rafa's deal? you are down on the road in a champions league match and you bring in a 19 year old who has no experience in the 53 and wait till the 71 to bring in milito.

Bale with another assist just now. Crazy how he clowned a player as good as Maicon all night.

Anyone see Nani's goal? What a **** goal that was, can't believe the ref let that stand.
