And 81 yard were to Jennings with Revis matched up on him. So basically he got the whole bag of candy when he knocked on the door. Rex and his D and some big mouth fans (not you) opened up the door with all their bragging. Receiving REC YDS TD LG G. Jennings 6 81 0 30 J. Nelson 5 55 0 19 B. Jackson 2 17 0 13 B. Swain 1 12 0 12 D. Lee 1 5 0 5
Who was playin today, the Brewers and the Mets? Jets came out flat after a bi like I thought they would. We do it too. I am curious to see what the New York media and fanbase does with this home loss/shut-out. They love to take the dramatic road, and with all the previous mid-season melt downs, its not without good reason. But the fact is, the Jets are good, they lost to a good team. They will win some and lose some more. There's a lot of parity in the league this year. No defense is impregnable, and no team is remotely close to unbeatable.
I may be wrong, but I am pretty sure he wasn't matched up on Jennings very much. But I am not sure that it really matters. The Jets pass defense did not lose this game. They gave 237 total yards and 9 points. I am not sure why you guys are so preoccupied with Revis.
The commentators pointed out that he was playing Jennings and this normally would not be done. Its not really a pre-occupation, its more like some posters and a coach proclaim this guy to be the greatest player in the NFL and can singlehandedly win games. They put him there and throw that **** out here then will whine when it gets thrown back. Yep the D played good but Revis should have done more to shut down Jennings by the standards that the coach and fan base have made.
You see folks, the problem with the Jets was simple.. The Packers score was too damn high. And Revis is NOT a karate expert.
GB had three scoring drives - all FG's. Jennings caught one pass in all of scoring drives combined. I'm not here to make excuses, but I am not sure how Revis figures into this loss.
Just admit it, Revis stinks...so here's what we're gonna do. We'll give you Jason Allen for him, straight up.
Because your coach and fan base anointed him the savior, the reason that football exists and why the Jets go to the Superbowl. It has nothing to do with what he did but what he didn't whether it was his fault or not (see the 1st sentence).
I picked the Packers! It sucks that the Patriots won and we didn't get the double knockout, but whatever. If we keep winning tough games like today and win the "easier" ones we'll be set up well.
The Dolphins at least score FGs when they are close.Dont the Jets have a FG kicker or did they not get that close ?
That team quit and he is still ballin'. Ware is tops in my book. anyway...I changed my mind. The entire Green Bay defense is the best defensive player in the league since they shut out the juggernaut Jets offense led by Nacho.
I like to think of myself as a man of my word, so................................... 9 to........ NOTHING!!!!!!!!
Great pick. How'd that turn out for you? Now move on to Gang Green where they actually give a rats arse about your decrepit team
Somebody help me out here. Not sure exactly which definition the OP was referring to? Definition of DESTROY transitive verb 1 : to ruin the structure, organic existence, or condition of <destroyed the files>; also : to ruin as if by tearing to shreds <their reputation was destroyed> 2 a : to put out of existence : kill <destroy an injured horse> b : neutralize <the moon destroys the light of the stars> c : annihilate, vanquish <armies had been crippled but not destroyed — W. 50% completion rate, 0 TD's, and 2 INT's with a 43 QBR? Stop listening to the media, Sanchez played badly. As a matter of fact, Sanchez has had a 60 QBR or less in the last three weeks.
I hear Webster's is updating their dictionary to change the definition of the word Destroy to Getting shut out 9-0 in football by your opponent while at home
I watched the game. You? There is more to it than QB rating. On a windy day, with receivers dropping balls and letting defenders rip them out of their arms on the ground, he played ok. Not good, but not bad.
Definitely a game that the stats are misleading. They should have a stat for WR turnovers. Sanchez does a good job of moving in the pocket to keep a play alive. His receivers killed him this week.
If Megatron wants to go for 10 catches 200 and 3 TDS and a 31-10 win for Detroit I wont be upset That was one ugly game today on both side but GB played well defensively and 5 or 6 drops from Jets WR is just not helping Sanchez at all. But anytime you are shut out at home the QB and OC have to be the ones taking a lot of the heat.
