Because Favre has been lights out this year

I bet he ends up in San Diego.

Teams that know they don't have a chance, will not place a bid. Teams on the edge will. I hope we do, but suspect he goes to a team like JAX instead.

Moss won't play for JAX. If he really wants to go back to NE, then that's where he'll end up.

Why? JAX has no shot this year. No reason to sign a Diva WR who won't be happy because he's on a crap team. If he didn't play well in Minny, Jacksonville would be a train wreck.

I'm slowly talking myself out of the wanting the Dolphins to sign him...

It's not up to Moss, or NE for that matter though. 31 other teams would have to pass on him. That's probably unlikely.

Hi, long time lurker here, made an account when I saw this discussion.

The rules as long as I've heard it say the waiver system doesn't apply to vets in the league longer than 4 years. I don't know where the Merriman situation is coming up, considering he wasn't cut. This is how I always remembered it, since the last CBA, 2006 I believe?

I can't find the actual rulebook, but here's some stuff off of Google.

edit - guess i can't post links until i have 5 posts, just google it.

I could be wrong but I swear waivers aren't for vets.

edit2 - I guess I was wrong, PFT is saying vets are still on waivers

If you think he cried being on the Vikings against the Pats he would commit suicide if he wore a Dolphins Jersey in front of Brady.

Moss will play wherever he thinks will get him a shot at one last contract.

The thought of Tarvaris Jackson couldn't have been that appealing to him. Maybe Henne isn't either, but I'd take my chances. It's an 8 game rental that literally cannot do any harm. None!!!

Sure is. He can simply flat out refuse to play. No one's going to pick him up without making darn certain he actually wants to play for them.

exactly, it's all about a contract for Moss, why he didn't play hard for New England.

Mort was just on ESPN Radio, he thought a team like the Rams might pick him up. problem that most teams won't pay the remainder of his 6.5 million dollar contract.

Yes, they have no shot. If you think they beat out Indy in that division then, well, I don't know what to tell you.

Minnesota wants to lose out in hopes of drafting Luck.

Moss would thrive here as a #2 where much less pressure is on him... we need a deep threat and a legitimate guy to take advantage of the 1 on 1s that Brandon provides. This would be awesome for us!

The only teams who should have interest in Moss are those who believe he can make a difference in them getting to the playoffs or, advancing in the playoffs. I will give us a fair shot IF there is any interest, and there might be.

We are actually the perfect team for Moss.

He would get single coverage. Strong armed QB. Good running game that he would make better. supposedly strong leadership, etc.

I just don't see this guy coming to Miami, or Miami having any interest in his presence.

And Armando Salguero just high-fived Bill Parcells.

i doubt any team that has no shot at playoffs would take him... he is only signing for a half season and teams dont need a WR that doesnt try if the team isnt winning, so i think its only playoff contenders that will take a shot on him

this is kinda crazy......odd seeing so many dolfans wanting this guy on the team. have you watched him play?! he is lazier than ever. the defense knows if its a run just by watching his body language. he is a shell of his former self, and honestly id rather go sign usain bolt, if you just want a guy to stretch the field

You would think we are the perfect team for Moss....but no, we are not. And why? Because our philosophy is to throw short and don't do anything to lose the game. Having Moss on our offense is like having a Ferrari locked inside your garage without a key....there's just no point in it.

And for the record: Dont' want any part of that guy on our team...as soon as things get bumpy he will throw his team under the bus and run the other way...well, he'll probably walk the other way at his own pace as he asks himself his own interview questions.

    Yeh....

Everyone said the SAME EXACT thing when he was in Oakland.

Randy Moss plays very well for a team that can handle him.

Guarantee if he is in Miami he looks like the Randy Moss of two years ago....

#5 Wr, with Moore maybe going to the practice squad.

We easily have room for him, and it would be a hoot if we landed the guy after it appearing to be such a longshot to land him.

Well who better to teach the one-handed catch out the back of the endzone to the lil beast?

If that's not his style he could always learn to juke fools from Marsh?
