This guy is an absolute scoundrel. I was on board with claiming him but after this? I don't know. Moss' Bad Behavior Anyone who does that has serious problems. It's one thing to be all competitive and say stuff to other players - who can handle your stuff on the field and in the locker room. It's another thing to do this to a mom & pop establishment invited in to serve the team! This guy is simply bad. The NFL should look into this and suspend the guy without pay for a couple of games for that kind of crap. Talk about "protecting the shield ..."
Sure guys are that way; but this was different. Publicly humiliating decent people with no provocation - while they are serving the team on the team site? Yes. Some level of punishment is in line. A fine wouldn't do anything to him. That's the problem with fines for these guys.
So we're cool with guys beating their wives (some more pregnant than others) but we don't like guys that are rude to their wait staff. Gotcha.
I've been squarely in the, put in the claim to stop the Pats then deactivate him if we get him camp. I haven't wanted him. And I certainly don't want him now. Hopefully Seattle or St. Louis puts in a waiver claim.
So he was a prick to some caterers? And thats why I shouldnt want him stretching the field for us? Riiiggggghhhhtttt.....
Vendigo, i think he was making a point that people react about moss being rude to a wait staff when they don't peep anything about much worse player behaviours. Being rude to a waiter staff shouldn't be on people's list of off field character flaws to complain about when there are current NFL personnel who are much worse and do much worse things and no one cares to post the article or call the player out. I'm pretty sure none of us are cool with wife beating.
who said we were cool with guys beating their wives. I don't want Moss because he is a loser, a quitter and a crybaby.
When there were rumors the phins were going to get marshall there was plenty of debate about him and his past. So that point is not valid if that is ck's point.
I know the point he's trying to make - it's just not a particularly good one. Back when the incidents involving McDaniels and Merling were reported, I remember quite a couple of folks being perfectly down with cutting their behinds. The fact that people don't run around a year later still screaming for their heads does not imply that they condone the behavior.
Condone? No. Tolerate as long as they're playing good football? Yes. And that's exactly what we're talking about with Moss.
Meh- Those guys are ameture douchbags compared to the "Grand Pooh-Bah" of being a douchebags. Moss has been doing A LOT of bad things for a long long long time. Actually refreshing to see it looks like Marshall might have turned the page....at least for now.
Who would've thought a potential HOF WR would get cut by the team he was originally on all b/c he's a ********. Pretty hilarious if you ask me
I wanted Merling cut immediately. He sucks anyway. Bust. As far as Marshall that was already settled and he wasn't charged. I don't like that he did it but based on the findings both parties were at fault. That doesn't justify it but we haven't had an indication it will resurface. Moss on the other hand is a repeat offender of being an *** hole.
In all fairness, it really depends on how far along in the pregnancy they are. If the brains aren't developed yet, then they can't be impaired by a haymaker now can they.
Tolerate isn't exactly the appropriate term because it implies choice. But fans don't have a choice in that matter. They live with it because there's nothing else they can do.
Dude probably knows his Ribs man......he could probably tell by lookin at them that the rub was unevenly applied...and the sauce was laden in corn syrup. All he wanted was some quality BBQ.....dont see what the big deal is.
Well we don't have a CHOICE in the Moss matter either, do we? It's a matter of *****ing and whining. We're *****ing and whining about the possibility of Moss being on the team because he's rude to his wait staff, but I haven't heard a peep in a while about Tony McDaniel ("really playing well!") being a wife beater, Brandon Marshall ("zomg he's soooo awesome!") being a multiple chick beater (as in multiple chicks), and Phil Merling (crickets .... "he still on the team?" ... tumbleweed) having beat up his pregnant wife.
Dude got cut for undermining Childress who cannot seem to handle any second guessing by anyone. That is all. All this other stuff is national enquirer stuff that always seems to follow.
Mr. Sonny Liston.... I thought you of all people could appreciate the humor in it. On a serious note though: If the brains are developed, the kid's probably like "S#!t, where the f#@% did that come from!?" "Cmon Mommy! Bob & weave! Bob & weave!"........ "no, not your hair woman!"
I was giving you crap but I do agree with you. Hypocritical fans annoy me. Pick a side of the fence and stay on it...... or better yet, realize what side your feet are on to begin with.
I personally don't care that much if Randy is an a-hole. He's not a wife beater. He's not a coke dealer, he's not a bank robber or a rapist, he's just a guy that when he speaks you tend to crinkle your nose and say "What a dick!" There are a lot of those in the NFL though and if we eliminated all of them from our team we'd have a lot less talent. I've come to accept that Merling, McDaniel and Marshall are on the team. I don't like it and Merling and McDaniel in particular I wouldn't mind cutting as long as they did so in a manner which was timely and smart enough to replace them adequately. I'm not about to sit here and complain that Moss should be eliminated from consideration because he was rude to his wait staff. I don't think it's hypocritical to use your own judgment I just think you have to be consistent about it and to me cheering on a Tony McDaniel pass rush on Sunday and then declaring you don't want Randy Moss because he was rude to his wait staff on Tuesday...is not consistent. On the other hand just as an example, if Ben Roethlisberger or Mike Vick were QB'ing for the Dolphins, I would not be a fan anymore. I can honestly say that. No game attendance, no watching them on TV, no message boarding, nothing. And just because that is the case I don't think I'd be hypocritical to be ok with Moss on my team.
No, but that doesn't mean one has to create a "Fire Merling!" thread every other week in order to voice ones disapproval of a potential Randy Moss acquisition. Back when the Roethlisberger incident occured, I remember you being a fierce proponent of a drastic suspension. The fact that, at the very same time, you "tolerated" a wife beater on your team, didn't stop you from voicing that opinion, did it?
No it didn't. But it did imply that I believe that what Brandon Marshall is guilty of is less damning than what Ben Roethlisberger is guilty of. And I'll stand by that one. So perhaps I am making an assumption that the people not wanting Moss because of this rudeness incident do not actively want Brandon Marshall, Tony McDaniel and Phil Merling off the roster. But, I don't think it's a bad assumption. Perhaps we should ask them point blank. I don't think their answers will be different from my assumption. Nor do I think it makes any sense that beating your chick is less objectionable than being rude to a caterer.
I don't think anyone is, I think this is a one-way argument here. personally, i condone beatings to anyone if they're warranted.
