Hardly, recall his TD v the Jets in the final game of 08 won the Division for Miami. I'm still waiting for Beast to do something, anything, even close to that in Miami.
My car is in the shop getting work for inspection so I took the day off. Sadly the whole day has been extremely quite regarding news on this. Hell I haven't read but 1 or 2 things on Merriman either. What a waste of a day off
well i get off at 5, so that last hour of work will be ridiculous! ill be refreshing webpages every second
I've been flipping back and forth from ESPN and NFL Network and nothing on their either. Most information that has come out I've gotten on here so be thankfully you can access the site via work!
I'd love to have Moss help this offense, but the waiver order certainly doesn't favor our chances. Time will tell...
things just got how do we say dicey......I guarntee you Segal is calling teams and saying dont even put a claim in, he wont play for your team...I think Miami could very well be the first "competetitive" team that has a shot at him..... Citing a source close to Randy Moss, Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald reports that Moss would be willing to sit out the remainder of the season if he dislikes the team that claims him off waivers. Moss "wants a ring" from the team that claims him, says the source. Moss and his agent, Joel Segal, have likely made the wide receiver's feelings known throughout the league. Obviously, it's going to be a prohibitive factor for less competitive clubs. According to Rapoport, Moss visited the Jets' facility on Tuesday because "He sees their potential and realizes their lack of deep threat." Moss apparently isn't a big Braylon Edwards fan.
The Seahawks wont be a problem. Adam_Schefter Seahawks rounded out their 53-man active roster by signing wide receiver Ruvell Martin, defensive end Jay Richardson and center Chris White.
in my opinion it was the acquiring Moss for a 3rd from the Pats, not the waiving of him now, that was the blunder.
a full roster doesn't necessarily indicate "no interest", FYI, as a player can be cut to make room. Although PFT reported yesterday that the Hawks have "privately" said they are not interested (whatever that means)
He was doing a Ginn Jr impression. Probably wont be out till after 4:00. The Jets could put in a claim now, but the NFL will not anounce it because the other teams have till 4:00 to do something. They (NFL) would be updating their site every 2 minutes. That sounds like Segal saying things so no one will pick him, and he becomes free to go back to NE where, IMO, he wants to be.
I don't think anyone in Minny could have predicted that Moss would do what he did, so you can't put too much blame on Childress for that (I dislike Childress for other reasons). Remember, the Vikings needed a deep threat for Favre since Rice was out, and Moss started his career there. If Moss played like he did in 2007-2009, wouldn't you give up a 3rd for him? We gave up two 2's for Marshall, so one 3rd for Moss seemed reasonable at the time. you poll ANY vikings fan when Moss was in NE and they would have done that trade ten times out of ten. Unfortunately it went South and Childress gets the blame. Frankly, waiving Moss in light of what he did and said was the right thing to do. My hesitations about him coming here are along the lines of what he did in Minny. What makes everyone think he's not going to continue half-assing it on the field? What makes everyone think he won't still be commenting on how he loves the Patriots? What makes everyone think he's going to start doing media conferences, playing team ball, and reverting to his 1998 form? He could be worse here than he was in Minny if we're not where he wants to be. The only positive here is that we wouldn't have to give up a pick to get him. Give it a shot and see what happens, i guess. I'm just not thinking that we'll start throwing bomb TD passes every game when he gets here. He wasn't helping NE or Minny out much, that's why both teams got rid of him. Don't forget that.
Based on these twitter updates of teams like the Seahawks and Rams not being interested, it sounds like there's a strong chance we put in a claim and get him if we want him. This would be insane.
This will happen to every Dolfan if we get Moss today. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLnWf1sQkjY&ob=av3e"]YouTube - The Lonely Island - **** In My Pants[/ame]
They keep asking Henne about Moss right now, he doesn't want to talk about it. Yet, they keep asking.
Anyone nervous....?? Man I want to land Moss.... I will say one thing.....to have this kind of player aquisition excitement this far into the year.....NEVER HAPPENS....so Im enjoying the ride..even if we dont land him. At least we know the Pats and Jets wont get him...
Coach Pete Carroll revealed Wednesday that the Seahawks did not place a waiver claim on Randy Moss. Seattle was 16th on the waiver list, behind both St. Louis and Washington. If Moss gets past the Rams at 13 and Redskins at 15, he almost certainly won't make it by the Dolphins at 18. Stranger things have happened, but there have been no indications that a team in the top 12 would be willing to take Moss.
@adbrandt "Note on Moss: claiming team would inherit Vikings' adjustment of Patriots' contract to not allow Franchise tag placed on Moss next year".
I know it has already been reported but....just FYI Ranked No. 22 in the NFL waiver priority order, the Titans have reportedly submitted a waiver claim for Randy Moss. With 20 minutes left before the deadline, the Rams (at No. 13 in the order) are also "strongly considering" using a waiver claim -- if they haven't already -- according to SI.com's Don Banks. Banks adds the Dolphins (No. 18) and Saints (No. 21) as teams that could grab Moss before he gets to Tennessee. He also calls the Chargers (at No. 10) "a potential surprise entry."
Rams have not put in a waiver claim yet..17 minutes.mortreport RT @stlramscom: No waiver claim for Moss -- yet http://bit.ly/ciMGcG #stlrams >> Teams have another 17 minutes
No! Not the Rams! They've screwed up every possible thing for the last four years, there's no way they can do something right now!
