If it was a "No Risk move" why the hell did the rest of the NFL pass on the Jackwagon as well?
The armchair GM's in here seriously crack me up.
You should all give up your jobs and go petition Ross to give you Irelands. :pity:

It's not the players that are the problem. It's the guy up in the booth with the Depends on.

EDIT: I would really like to find out exactly how much input or authority Sparano has on gameday with offensive play calling.

the rams are 1/2 game out of 1st place and have zero WRs. Face it, the guy has been cut twice in one season, had twenty something teams pass on him, the guy is a basketcase that jeff fisher was willing to roll the dice because his receiving corps just got decimated by injuries. we looked at it and passed. even if fisher gets lucky and the guy plays for him 100% it still wouldnt meaan he wouldve done the same for us. and i wouldnt waant our young players seeing that guy walk through practices or publickly gripe thaT he isnt getting enough passes

Its a business risk you know that. Come on now. You pay money in business and expect to get something in return. The possibility of the player not performing after you pay them, is a risk. With moss that risk goes up.

And if Moss torches us in two weeks..I just want to make sure I hear your voice telling us how happy you are.

You might be right, but it was worth the risk. all this stuff you're talking about applies to MArshall the same way it applies to Moss.

We're trying to make the playoffs. We are already in a hole. We are scoring 1 TD per game, which is pathetic. And you have a chance to get Randy Moss ofr free (essentially) and you pass, while allowing him to get claimed by one of your chief playoff rivals that you happen to play in 2 weeks.

I'm sorry, it makes no sense to me.

forget the risk, let me give you a guarantee, a rock solid guarantee.

You put Randy Moss on that team and you sell out that stadium the rest of the season (the rest of the schedule is not sold out), you move hundreds of Moss jerseys, etc. That is 100% guaranteed. The odds of Ross losing money on the move are slim to none, even if you cut him in a month.

The Jests sign Braylon, Holmes, Cromartie...all these turds. And once they win 5 in a row, everyone forgets about the dwi and the shenanigans. Now all anyone talks about is Rex Ryan and the jests being a contender.

Dpes anyone think, if Moss catapulted our offense to the next level, and we made a nice January run...ANYBODY would be talking about some alleged, one-side of the story, catering mishap?

You wanna hear another guarantee...if Moss scores against us...and we lose...we're gonna hear all kinds of Ireland sux threads...

Dear god please dont let that happen.

Thats not true. And you have no proof that the amount of jerseys and tickets sold due to his acquisition would cover the money spent paying him. And you aren't paying moss just to sell jerseys.

If Tenn makes the playoffs and we dont...

Would that have been a risk worth taking?

If he torches the league that's a fair call.
To put in a claim for one game, with the. HOPES that he won't melt down and take part of the locker room with him is ignorance.
Go take a look at his stat line in game 4.
Guess what, that was the beginning of his end in NE.
He wasn't getting things his way so he sat on his thumbs.
I don't even want the risk of having "That guy" on my team...and apperantly, neither does the VAST majority of the rest of the league.

i think we forget we put in a claim for merriman who is as much of a risk but for different reasons. its a bit of a stretch to believe we should have put in claims for two huge risks. i mean i know it isnt our money but cmon

That makes it even worse actually. We put in a claim for an oft injured LBer who hasn't played in more than a season yet ignore the guy on offense (where we really need the help) who could play and potentially be effective for you on Sunday.

the priorities of this regime are whacked. (And I would've liked to get Merriman, but Moss filled the bigger need)

For the majority of the other league...it didnt make sense for them to get Moss. And its not a one game rental..if you look at the teams fighting for a playoff spot...we will
very likely be battleing Ten for one of those spots. Moss makes a team we will need to compete for a playoff spot better..and I can hear all this crap about how much of a prick he is..but nobody in Tenn is gonna give a rats *** whether he is a jerk or not.

And Id like anyone to state flat out that Moss isnt goin to be a night mare in two weeks to defend...Ive seen Moss do things no other reciever in the history of the NFL has ever done..you want to bet against him be my guest.

if merriman ever recaptures just 90% of his potential he will be a far superior investment than moss. plus it would be for a far longer period

It doesn't really matter, we're going to hear that anyway. The wheels have come off the wagon, and I'm not talking about anything that has to do with the franchise. Finheaven is leaking. People are going to scream 'cause the team isn't run like their Madden franchise.

It's too funny how all the sudden Moss is like the biggest play maker around, and he is just gonna tear us up!!! Lol, I personally can't wait for Vontae to pretty much shut him down when we play the Titans. I know he is always capable of breaking a huge play, but 9 out of 10 times Vontae shuts him down

You mean shut him down AGAIN!
He already COMPLETELY shut his sorry lazy *** down one time this season.
Once again, I am willing to bet HUGE money that the Titans don't take him if Kenny Britt doesn't go down lame.

Its funny how alot of people pretend Moss CANT BE THE BIGGEST PLAY MAKER AROUND....you act like Moss has been washed up for years....

For the record I hope everyone can pound their chest and say..."I told you so" and Moss sucks and VD makes him look like his momma...

But your off your freakin rocker if you think Moss cant play pissed the rest of the season and catch two tds against us next weekend...

Why would moss play pissed first off?
Second off moss has obviously had problems this year, he's already been waived by two different teams. I would say at the moment the evidence points to moss not being the biggest playmaker around.

    No it wouldnt....

Every team we didnt want to get Moss....picked AFTER us....it wasnt like we would have deeked that we were going to take him and force someone earlier to take him...all of the teams after us had a better record....

Pretending we were going to take him didnt force the Jets or the Pats to put in a claim...

Its not alleged, and if you cared to actually read about what he did, and how he did it, you'd see what a douche this guy is. That said, I wish we would have taken him, just to sit him, or put him on the IR or something, just so he doesn't burn us against Tenn or playing for anyone else.

Also, we ALL knew that the Titans put a claim in for him, they leaked that out on purpose. We had no need to block the jests or cheatroits now. And Hartline > Moss now until the end of Hartline's career.
