Gran Tourismo 5.....delayed....again

If it’s delayed 3 weeks from release then it’s probably a showstopper bug. Don’t worry about it.

Now that PS3 games are "accessible", I'll be buying them all

 

Now that some are 3D and/or Move enabled I'll likely be getting most multi-plat games with such features on PS3.

No, Nov 2nd was the first time they ever announced as an official release date. This is technically the 1st delay.

stupid question Pete.....can you play 3-D games on a non 3-D TV....for instance are they going to start making just 3-D only games or will they be formatted to adjust to non-3D depending on the TV....?

 

They won't really make 3D only games for any foreseeable future. They would never shut out the majority.

 

Supposedly the game was shipping with FW 3.41, and Sony wanted to be sure anyone who got it got FW 3.50. While this only delays the game by a week (max) as far as programming goes, the manufacturing delay could be much longer due to slots already being filled by other media/software.

 

I havent bought a racing game since the last one...I might have to buy this one though....

Me thinks alot of car damage might occur for a few days....

Oh yea. I've had it ordered for like 2 years now.

I'm getting antsy whenever I look at my playseat.

 

The newer ones wont be much good however unless someone comes up with a way of decrypting games built on SDK 3.42 an higher. Sony implemented new keys for games on 3.42 and up so the current hacked 3.41 systems couldn't decrypt them.

I'm sure someone will figure it out but we may be waiting for a while.

Sean White skateboarding got recalled the moment it got shipped out. We would receive em, throw a new sticker on em and ship them right back.

 

i remember reading about this game being delayed before i even got a ps3.
now, looking through the paper work i got with my ps3, all the game ads were for 07 games.
yea this has been getting pushed back a little too much. its ridiculous. like that guns n roses album, 13 years in the making.

 

When a game is RTM it’s usually a couple of weeks from release.

The rumored November 30 date sounds about right.

it only weighs in at 20GB. Being downloaded right now. Thought it would be bigger. Not that the game isn't big (game play wise).... But GOW3 was way bigger.

IGN gives it an 8.5, says that it’s a 10/10 driving sim trapped in a 5/10 game. Whatever that means.

This will sell a million copies overnight.

 

The IGN review is penalizing it for being a Sim basically, which is ******ed.

I finally got my copy and it's installing. I showed up at Gamestop at 10:02 and somehow was the 4th person in line (the 3rd who wanted GT5). The middle aged woman in front of me took 26 minutes to check out. She had to buy little Timmy a 360 and Halo Reach and therefore had to play 20 questions with the guy working at the store who barely seemed to know anything himself. Then after she already checked out and paid she decided she needed to get a ****ing headset too. Arrrrghhhh!!

 

I went into Best Buy because I use that rewards zone BS. I asked the guy there if GT5 was here and he told me "No it doesn't come out until the very end of the year"

So I drove to Gamestop and they had it. >.<
