No ppr, 6 points for all TD's. And .1 for every yard rushing or receiving (1.0 for ten yards, 1.9 for 19 yards, etc.) and 1.0 for every 25 yards passing. After 31 adds or drops this is where my team stands: Starters: QB: Matt Schaub RB: Frank Gore RB: Rashard Mendenhall WR: Roddy White WR: Steve Smith (CAR) TE: Jacob Tamme (lots of TE on the WW, he looked good with Peyton Manning) K: Mason Crosby DST: KC - (I drop and play matchups weekly, but I like KC, McCluster TD potential) Bench/Flex options: EDIT: Also have RB: Jamaal Charles RB: Thomas Jones RB: Joseph Addai RB: Reggie Bush WR: Malcom Floyd WR: #85 WR: Dez Bryant Look good enough?
Even if you have the best team in the league they can still lay an egg any given week. It's too difficult to tell if your team is good enough IMO.
Gotta look at last 3 weeks matchups for all those guys as well as all the guys of all the teams you'll (potentially) be facing in the playoffs. Maybe later. That said, I don't see why not.
Matt Schaub has really been feast or famine when it comes to fantasy so that's always a worry (I have him and Palmer so I know how that goes). Don't think Steve Smith (CAR) will light it up going forward but could always be wrong. He's getting older and dealt with two injuries already (one during preseason) and hasn't had the surest hands from what I've seen, his last TD was week 2. Carolina has two rookies in Gettis and LaFell that are starting to come along and while there may be weeks one of them disappear, I think there will also be a lot of weeks where Carolina's best fantasy WR isn't Smith. Not to mention the Panthers aren't an offensive juggernaut and they rather let Williams/Stewart do most of the work. For your sake maybe I'll be wrong.
Yeah, tell me about Schaub...but there is noone on the WW that I would trust more. He has the talent and supporting cast to put up a 300/3 day against about any team. Regarding Steve Smith, he did catch 9 balls for 85 yards his first game back from injury. Although, he did fumble once and dropped two passes, but I think that was just due to some rust for being out so long. I do have Malcom Floyd probably coming back in week 11. Our playoffs start week 14 and our Super Bowl is week 16. My RB's have been totally DOMINATING for me this year.
EDIT: Also have RB: Jamaal Charles...Oops Charles looks poised for a monster second half of the season.
You're right about Schaub, really liked him at Virginia and was screaming at Atlanta to start him when he was the backup there. He can put up a monster game any week like week 2 (497 and 3 TDs), but with Foster doing well he hasn't needed to throw 400 yards every game. Good for the Texans, bad for Schaub fantasy owners. I think I'm going go with Palmer this week and hope he gets it done.
Schaub at home vs Chargers and you want to bench him for Palmer vs Steelers? That sounds like sucide to me man. Good luck if you do that though.
I'm thinking Benson gets stopped and Bengals rely on the passing game. Not to diss my man Henne but he had his third best game yardage wise this season (granted only 7 games played) against Pitt with 257 and he's not out of Palmer's league. T.O.cho and Shipley are a good trio and at home against a bitter rival on MNF I'm hoping the Bengals come to play. Statistically the Chargers have been pretty good against the pass, and better than the Steelers. As we all know anything can happen on Sunday so it's all just educated guesses. Those are my justifications but really Palmer has been more consistent so I'm just going with consistency this week as opposed to the feast or famine of Schaub. As a bonus I hate the Steelers and it's fun to have a fantasy player on MNF. Thanks for the good luck wishes, same with you this week.
I think that can win a league how deep is your league 10,12, or 14, I think it's smart in fantasy to churn the bottom of your roster. I have a similar team also 6-2 in a 14 team league: QB: Matt Schaub(drafted) RB: Michael Turner(drafted) RB: Jamaal Charles(drafted) WR: Roddy White(drafted) WR: Hakeem Nicks(drafted) TE: Jacob Tamme (Add Drafted Jermichael Finley) K: Dan Carpenter(Drafted, dropped bye then added after) DST: San Diego (drafted) Bench/Flex: QB:Ben Roethlesberger(drafted) RB:Legarette Blunt(add) RB:Brandon Jackson(add) RB:Michael Bush(drafted) RB:Felix Jones(add) WR:Malcolm Floyd(drafted) WR:Johnny Knox(drafted) WR:Santonio Holmes(add) I'm thinking either Brandon Jackson or Blunt for flex this week and I need help with Big Ben vs. Bengals or Schaub vs. SD?
I'd feel safer with Jackson. I wouldn't expect Blount to put up those kind of numbers again really. It's possible but I wouldn't count on it. The QBs is a little tough. Big Ben is more consistent than Schaub but the Houston/SD game could be a high scoring game for both teams. Houston's pass defense isn't good which would be to River's advantage. However, he's without his normal starting receivers. If SD gets ahead, Schaub might have to throw most of the game. IDK, I think Big Ben is a safer bet against Cincy.
Well Palmer (15 points) over Schaub (8 points) worked out even though it wasn't needed for the win, where as the week before I lost and had I started Palmer I would've won by one point. Team did pretty well this week. RBs I had Ronnie (15) and Brandon Jackson (18), my WRs were Nicks (18) and Steve Johnson (14), and after starting the Giants D for the first time they held Seattle to 7 points. My disappointment this week was Miles Austin; Romo going down and Dallas imploding is hurting his fantasy numbers. I can't seem to string two wins together so next week I'm in trouble.
