I've been thinking about this game a lot, as I'm sure most of you are still recovering from that hangover also. As bad as that call was, I don't expect it to happen against us again. The NFL realizes we got screwed out of a very important W. These loop holes that these refs are using to **** teams over need to be closed. And I think they slowly but surely are being closed. I just wanted to say that I think the chances of us getting more bad calls in the future are more slim now that we have already been screwed already. And that is a good thing my friends.

Well this is the exact opposite of the "league punching-bag" theory I heard.

I really would have liked to see you guys score TDs instead of FGs on those two drives from turnovers. That "blown call" wouldn't have been as much of a big deal if you guys had about a 2 TD lead on them.

It does seem like a lot of these big calls over the last few years have always gone in favor of the other team. I am a big conspiracy theorist so I honestly don't know how I really feel about the situation. I guess I'm just hoping that the refs realize that if you mess with the Dolphins from now on there is going to be an even bigger spotlight on them and their potential mistake. :pity:

I see that now from the other thread.....that's pretty lame to come here and call himself our teams name.

It's not like I'm trying to make it some secret guys! I'm not posting in a way that makes it seem like I'm a dolphins fan or anything. I thought it was funny that this name was available on a dolphins message board, so took it. No big deal.

I probably won't post here again after this Sunday/Monday anyway and even sooner if you guys can't handle a discussion with opposing teams' fans. I'm not trolling or trying to cause trouble in any way, just trying to have discussions with other fans.

I'll see if I can have a signature stating that I'm a Ravens fan, just so there's no confusion and it's out in the open...

    Right!?!

Hell, if we had just scored a TD and 2pt conversion every time we had the ball, plus got safeties or Pick 6s every time they had the ball, and then scored on the kickoff and forced fumbles for scores on their kickoffs, we wouldn't have to worry about blown calls ever.

    It really is pretty simple.

I think the only problem people will have with you is your user name. If your a ravens fan and you keep it respectable it should be fine.

I'll definitely be keeping it respectful! Not trying to cause trouble.

What initially prompted me to join was to post a correction about all the experts picking Miami to win...

No You are welcome here just like any other fans but to take out that name was not the coolest move. If I went to a Ravens board I would never use their team name. It just appears to be that you are trolling even though you may not be.

No need to be like that. I wish Miami would have won just as much as you. I think the call sucked as well. A Steelers loss obviously helps the Ravens.

Anyway, Miami does need to score better in the redzone. Settling for FGs is hurting...well it hurts any team.

Don't think it was a silver lining at all, in fact we had some calls go against us last week.

It was a bad call, and we will have bad calls against us again, just like every other team.

Yeah, and the call wouldn't have been that bad if our defense had given up more than 20 points. It would have meant even less if the Steelers had of scored TD's on all of their drives instead of FG's too.

Actually, the biggest difference would have been if that ref hadn't of made a BS call without ever seeing the ball, calling a TD for the Steelers. The play would have continued and we would of had the ball on the 20 with about 2 minutes to play.

The Ravens average 21 points per game while the Dolphins average 19. Less than a FG difference there, huh?

It doesn't matter who it would have helped. We made the plays to win the game and the refs took it from us. Plain and simple. Every thing else is conjecture.

Dude, we would have let them right back in the game anyway. We just don't continue calling plays or defense aggressively when we have the lead.

The NFL and refs review right and wrong calls after every week. I don't believe there is a secret mandate to call plays for or against any team.

I believe they make adjustements when mistakes are made and all the other ref's use it as a learning tool on how to handle a call like that the next time it comes up.

Lets just hope were not involved in plays like that where it's a tough on the field call, one where replay can't make the right call again to avoid any pro/against Dolphin theories.

I think I did. :pity: Oh well. **** it. I guess I'm just going to have to live with the fact that Miami is always going to get screwed. Is it because everyone else is jealous that their favorite team didn't go Undefeated? Bunch of haters out there.

Meh, these things happen. It did hurt at the time but it's in the past now. Besides, these things seem to go in circles and we got the benefit of the call against Cinci where I personally didn't think RW broke the endzone for our only TD of the game. Not as big a call I admit, but still in our favour.

Anyway, onwards and upwards. Bring on Baltimore and a continuation of our 100% (road) record! :)

That will never happen, most Dolphins fans on here believe that the league and the officials are out to get us. Why? because they have tunnel vision, they will never see the calls that go our way.

Ricky, broke the plane of the end zone, that equals a touchdown. But, I agree with you, these things seem to go in circles.
