It is about points allowed, they gave up 2 TD's and a slew of FG's most of them due to the offense turning the ball over. Fellas, we are 4-4, make a choice, do you want to win this year, or do you think it is better to change Chad Henne's ****ty diapers for 8 more games?
When they ask him that on Thursday he will say that the game dictated that we use more pass plays. I can hear it now. Its the same old sound bites.
It's better to not even try to address a weakness. The FO was scared. That's fitting since they generally coach scared and play scared half the time. I wanted a real argument about Pennington not giving this team a better chance to win. Not, 'He lost in 08 to the Ravens so obviously that would happen with this team.' That's called a copout. Because obviously this is the same Dolphins team as 2008. So I guess Cleo Lemon owns the Ravens.
Be happy dude. Let me think of something you can take from this game... Oh I know... "This game proves that we dont JUST LOSE at home. We lose on the road too." ROFLMAO at you losers complaining now.
Then Sparano should be fired at the end of the year, he bet on Henne, he lost, that comes at a price.
I'm with you man. I was unsure before but I am on the start Chad Pennington bandwagon. While there is still SOME chance.
Hey if it works, it works. I just find it funny that some want to put in Pennington b/c Henne has a 3 INT game. People then said Pennington and the Phins had the season they did in 2008 b/c they played a bunch of **** teams. Then when Pennington faces a 'real' team against Baltimore in the playoffs, he shows his lack of being a money QB.
Like I have said many times. He is this generations Tom Olivadottii. Shula wouldnt let him go. Henning wont be let go until after the seasons over....if that...if that.
I guarantee we would be worse than 4-4 if Pennington was the starter. The season is only half-over. Let's see what happens the rest of the way. If any coach should be on the hot seat, it's Henning.
Not really. You are saying history isn't a factor yet you want to take moss's history as a reason he should be picked up when he hasn't done anything eye opening this year. As for penny what makes you think he would have thrown half the passes henne did complete? You have no proof either way so making that argument is inane.
Iam sure someone has mentioned this but why the hell did Ronnie have only 9 carries @ 6.6 yds per carry!? He was fired up! in the first quarter, hitting people, showing emotion, he wanted the ball! Henning .................... I just dont know!
I'll not argue that the offense played well. They didn't. But what turn overs are you talking about? The defense played badly and allowed the ravens to control the tempo of the game
Dude, it's not JUST this game. He now has several more picks than TDs for the season. Penny has been to within a competent kicker of a conference championship. Miami hasn't been that close since 1994. This WR corps would benefit most from Penny's talents. Why are we just using 2008 as a sample of Penny's playoff work? Why not use the 2002 drubbing of the Indianapolis Colts as well?
Well....Ive defended Chad Henne almost as much as anyone here....and, I think his play took a big step backwards. Does make you wonder about what he is or in this case, isnt seeing down the field. Not really sure at this point that letting Pennington start next week isnt such a bad idea. We gotta start a spark somehow on offense....
He as talked out of retirement by Parcells. He's gone after this year whether by his own choice or not IMO.
Why? So just say you are willing to say "**** you dolphins fans, we are not winning this year, we are developing Chad Henne, and that money you spent? **** heads, this is all about Chad Henne, so suck it up" I'm interested in winning, if Henne does not win, sit his *** on the pine, start a winner and let's make a playoff run.
Over reaction..... I semi-bought into the termination of Shula. The fact is that we ARE competitive. At this point in the NFL, there is NO magic bullet. Suffer through it. We paved our way here through OTHER haste.
The bottom line is that this is the third year since rebuilding and Henne's third year on the team. This isn't year one and it doesn't need to be treated as such. They need to be trying to make the playoffs. They need to have the best players in at every last position. Regardless of age or whatever.
I've seen him force it to Marshall (not really this game), but I don't think either pick from this game was forced to hartline or Bess.
I am done caring for the season but needless to say there needs to be alot of changes this off season go KC Chiefs.
I thanked you because I agree that a HEALTHY Chad Pennington could do that for us but your talking about a very big 'IF'. I dont see them even thinking about putting CP in though unless we go 2 games under .500 if that.
I'm using the last time we saw Pennington play a game for the Dolphins as my example. The ****ed up part? I wouldn't be opposed to putting Pennington in to see if he could do any better. The team is 4-4, who cares at this point?
