Dude, a 46 yard FG is not automatic, even in this league. FG percentages past 35 yards drop drastically. The man made 13 in a row, and was named AFC Special Teams player of the Week for the last two weeks. Dan Carpenter is the least of the problems on this mess of a team.

The difference is good QB's play well the rest of the time and can afford some bad throws. That was a childish comparison. You should be watching a cooking channel.

True but a man is a man, and every man is responsible for their own appearance/persona. Right now Henne is doing little for his resume, right now it looks like hes lost little puppy that needs to have his hand held by daddy offensive coordinator. Not that he shouldn't listen to hes superiors but you have to take initiative sometimes and Henne simply does not.

And ALL those QBs are in situations where the coaches actually let them PLAY to their strengths. I watched pieces of all those games today and I saw those QBs constantly throw passes that give receivers opportunities to run DURING and AFTER the catch.
We run curls, digs, and outs...and as we saw, if on a curl the receiver falls down, pick, on a dig if a receiver quits...pick...if ALL 4 WRs run CURLS..the DBs clearly see it coming and ... pick

And if you haven't paid attention the last 5 years, you'll remember Fitzpatrick did come in for Bulger several times for Bulger in St. Louis under Mike Martz, and he was damn good in that offense, too.

Yea i know who he is but the man has never landed a starting job, he is now starting for the 0-7 Bills and is running that offense clean. I would be nice if our offense took chances but that aint happening. not Hennings MO and Sparano wants to conservative to the max.

Here the QB's that have faced the Ravens this year and how they did.

    Sanchez- 47% comp, 74yds, 0 TD, 0 INT

    Palmer- 45% comp, 167yds, 0 TD, 0 INT

    Wallace- 75% comp, 141yds, 1TD, 0 INT

    Batch- 57% comp, 141yds, 0 TD, 1 INT

    Orton- 60% comp, 314yds, 2 TD, 0 INT

    Brady- 61% comp, 282yds, 1 TD, 2 INT

    Fitz- 67% comp, 314, 4TD, 2 INT

    Henne- 64%, 231, 0 TD, 3 INT

Looks as if the Ravens typically just don't let QB's have good games.

Yeah, that fact alone makes Henne our QB of the future right ? Dude needs to not be a starter once we figure out who replaces him, until then the Henne will keep laying eggs all over the field.

If they keep relying on Henne and he keeps playing at the level he has been, the guy is going to lose this team and lose it quick if he isn't far into the process already.

Once again your comparing apples to oranges. Even Marino had bad games and bad throws but they obviously didn't define his career, now did they. Your dismissed. Unbelievable.

Laying eggs? Tell the defense to cover a running back...tell the punt team to cover the gunner...tell the coaches to not TOTALLY ABANDON THE RUNNING GAME...
But no..it's all Henne...all the time...

And for the record..I thought he could've been better...especially on the miss to Fasano in the endzone, but damn the hate Henne gets for complete abortions of games by the other facets of the team is absurd.

This is not the solution but it is funny. Pennington would be worse dink and dunk floaters is not what i have in mind for this offense. Although Thiggy is a slinger so he would be interesting but i dont see it any better with him at the helm

i read this as henne had the worst game out of the QBs listed

the difference is brees and brady actually had touchdowns in those games. henne barely throws it into the endzone.

OK, nobody's perfect, I get it, but in crunch time you need your QB to take the bull by the horns and lead the team or go down fighting. I don't see that in Henne, he had a chance in the Steeler game, and there was just no sense of urgency, I believe there was a handoff to Ronnie Brown on 1st down with only like a minute left and only down by 1. He needs to *****, moan and groan to get that play changed. He needs to be the one changing the play at the line of scrimmage. That's why I feel he's a robot out there, a yes sir guy, the heck with all that, just go out do what ever you have to do to win. How many teams/QBs have we seen do that to us? Henne may not be a crafty ole veteran, but he still lacks the fire one needs to be successful in the NFL. He looks to be a good #2 QB to come in when needed, but as a starter, I say no.

Why break the bank to bring in Brandon Marshall if he's gonna do nothing but get 4-5 throws a game for like 10 yards each? Don't get the fireplace if you can't supply the chimney......

Yea, really getting tired of the "he's right in the middle of the starting QBs in this league" crudola, so what, numbers mean nothing, he's not getting the job done when needed the most. The Dolphins could be 6-2 right now with better QB play. No stats needed, just a fact.

I heart Henne still. Sorry, I do. Everyone has bad games, that's just the way it is, and I'm not going to crucify a guy for having a bad game on the road against the Ravens, I just won't!!

if you are going to compare Henne's bad days with those of Manning Brees and Brady, well let's start counting super bowl rings too then.

does it matter how many td's in a loss??

I mean you can't have things one way and not the other

scoring td's and losing is NO different than not scoring any td's and still losing

I don't care what anyone says

at the end of the day a loss is a loss

What about last week against the bengals? He failed to get into the endzone an assload of times. Yea you can blame the playcalling but if your at the helm and you dont like what you see call a timeout or change the goddam play. If you change the play and succeed Henning cant bench you, the fans would outrage. Farve is the king of doing what he thinks is right and the man goes down gunning but its made him a legend!

It's not that you are wrong, but this guy hasn't even started a year-and-a-half's worth of games yet. For most QBs, it takes time to become good. That's why I get tired of all this Henne Hate, like he's been here five years and this is all there is.

He has shown great flashes at times, and has been pretty average so far, which isn't bad when you have the experience he has. If we're debating this in 2012, then - yes - it's time to move on. But not yet!! Give the guy time, the rest of the schedule gets a little easier, let's see what he can do.

Right now, he is our best option, so that's that. Let's see how this plays out before we hang the guy people!!

You got to look at the situation as a whole, don't just say he had a bad day against the Ravens at their home and forgive the guy. He makes the same mistakes game after game after game after game........The fans are worth more than that, we deserve better. You can't keep starting a guy that's tardy with throws, keeps checking down, and under performs when even given time in the pocket? I don't care if he's playing the '85 Bears. He has to play the position the way it needs to be played at that given time.

It's not that I don't hear you, it's just I truly believe he will get better - at lot better. He eventually won't be tardy on his throws, he won't kep checking down, and he won't underperform when given time in the pocket.

What you describe above is the first two seasons for Drew Brees. He was just about run out of town before he learned how to be an HOF QB.

    Give it time!!

I gotta pal, but I want to WIN NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Let Henne play in the Preseason all he wants, I just don't understand why you bring in a guy like Marshall, and Dansby if you want to start rebuilding a franchise. I'm pissed because we always lose out on the QB wars, we always have to get a guy who has to get experience. Look at the Beck, White, and Lemon situations. Come on man, I applaud them going after Culpepper, and even though he didn't work out, at least we were trying to solidify the position. We need a guy who IS READY NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

I hear ya I hear ya, it's still frustrating, I know. I guess this is just our "punishment" for getting a ready-made QB once already (Marino).

Honestly, if Penny could do better right now, I'd say maybe he should have been the guy, but I personally don't think he is. So, until further notice, we have to ride w/ the best driver and that's Henne. And I expect we will be rewarded soon .... eventually ... someday?

J.Flacco pass short middle to R.Rice pushed ob at BLT 34 for 15 yards
J.Flacco pass short middle to R.Rice to BLT 46 for 12 yards
J.Flacco pass short left to R.Rice to MIA 22 for 34 yards
J.Flacco pass short right to D.Mason to MIA 13 for 9 yards
J.Flacco pass short right to D.Mason for 12 yards, TOUCHDOWN.

Well hardly a short pass there, Flacco got it done, He commanded that offense right up the field. Where's Henne's drive.... its ok i'll wait, Oh the "playmaker" Boldin made 0 catches that drive, just fyi

well not to many teams are willing to get rid of guys like Manning and Brees are they

I don't know what you guys want??

we are NOT winning now with this team like this
80% of our team is young
the core of the offense and defense is young

    they are ALL learning together

they have shown flashes of greatness, and flashes of immature mental mistakes
    the offense, and the defense

we are developing in the a contender.

you guys are just too impatient to ride it out

how many seasons in before Manning won a super bowl....or even got to won?

    how many seasons for brees??

you guys are just not looking at this situation realistically

I would love to win now just as much as anyone

but that doens't happen in the nfl

if you are looking for a quick turnaround go watch basketball or baseball

they were all short passes that the receiver made great plays with

Flacco made good decisions and got them the ball

but all of those passes were huge YAC plays
