And Henne finished the season 0-3 during the playoff run, so what are you trying to say>? Pennington knows what it is like to win a playoff game, Henne has seen the playoffs on TV.
The goal is to win a Super Bowl. And if losing games this year brings us closer to winning a Super Bowl next year by having our young QB develop you bite the bullet, take the losses and try to teach him how to become a winning QB. If the only goal was winning, there would never be a QB who started a game before he was 30 since thre would always be a free agent QB available who was slightly better
How long did it take for Rogers to become what he is now? How many years did he ride the pine in this league before even starting? Why is it, that most people ignore the "HOW" they got to where they are now, when the player is on another team. Yet immediately expect our players to be pro-bowl players right away? Take a look around the league. How many players, truly, in their first couple years in this league actually make that kind of impact on the league out of all the ones that are brought in.
Aaron Rodgers is the best QB in the NFL right now. Yes, I said he was Joe Montana with a stronger arm and got criticized for it. I was right.
Do tell, how many others have you gotten right? You know, I have gotten things right more than a few times in my lifetime as well. I don't go around saying it though. You know why? I am also humble enough to know that I have gotten more wrong than right in my lifetime and I have learned from it and acknowledge that fact.
Congratulations dude. You were right. Pat yourself on the back some more, and tell everyone else how wrong they were (even if some of them didn't want Ronnie). I'm sure since you were right, Green Bay will be more than willing to give us Rodgers now. I mean that's what you're trying to accomplish with your trumpeting, right?
Sorry, but that's simply not true. Phillip Rivers is the front-runner for the MVP award. Brady and Manning are also still more consistently productive. Moreover, Rodgers has a loooooooooooooooooooooooong way to go if he wants to be mentioned in the same breath with Joe Montana. Why are you coming on here to pat yourself on the back for a characterization you made in the past anyway? What's that accomplish?
What am I jealous of? That my arm doesn't bend enough to give myself a proper pat on the back? Oh yea, totally jealous of that. I'm glad you've got it down though.
What are you ****ing talking about? He didn't even mention Ronnie. I want Ronnie replaced next year too, so I don't see how you characterize us a Ronnie lovers.
I now understand why Parcels left. HENNE wasn't the answer. I now believe him. Not Just Henne, we need a fast COP back, TE, and MLB.
EXACTLY!!! The same as how Henne tightens up at the goalline... missig throws to Marshall left and right, and Fasano this week. This young group doesn;t hev the right mental game to be clutch. To be champions. We can debate whther that is something they can develop, or if it's either there or not there.
Huh? I can honestly tell you that I have no idea of what you're trying to say here (I'm assuming it's not much based on your self-righteous "Look how smart I am calling Aaron Rodgers the next Joe Montana" post). Go back to the little kids table. We're having an adult conversation here.
You have a point, to a certain extent, but keep in mind that Henne has thrown his share his of red zone TDs prior to this slump that he's currently mired in (his last one was to Bess against the Packers). I do agree that some guys have it while some guys don't (for example, clearly Yeremiah Bell has virtually no ball skills since he has exactly one interception in his career). But I don't think we can make that determination for Henne after just 21 starts.
Not having the "right mental game" as you put it falls squarely on the coaching staff. Now before you go saying that it is only Henne and Fasano... I will redirect you to your own words... "This young group". So, lets revisit where the blame should actually fall.
Sooooo,...noone should ever acknowledge when we were right with a draft pick? We should only eat crow for being wrong ALWAYS??? I don't like your rule...
There you go again acting like the Dolphins are 0-8. News Flash: They're 4-4 with their four losses coming against teams that are a combined 20-4. And while three of their four wins have come against mostly mediocre teams, one of those four victories came on the road in one of the toughest places to play (Lambeau Field) against a team that looks to be on its way to a division title and a playoff birth.
I'm not upset. But I do think it's silly to parade around like it's some sort of accomplishment. I thought Reggie Wayne was going to be an awesome WR, and I wanted him on our team, but I'm not holding it over anyone's head about us passing on him.
Here's an idea: don't acknowledge yourself either way (right or wrong). Just talk about Dolphins football. Last I checked, that was the purpose of this forum (not self recognition).
Sooo...like I said a few posts up, noone should ever acknowledge when they are right about a draft pick? Nonsense...
Henne missing throws in the redzone just screams inexperience to me. I wasnt happy when he missed fasano today, but i immediately thought about how that goes away in time. Hennes afraid near the endzone, and yeah it sucks witnessing it week in and week out as a fan, but its all about experience. Pennington would have never missed Fasano today, that is true. But Pennington made the mistakes 10 years ago.
Who the hell are YOU to tell ME that I can/can't talk about some of my previous posts? Who the FK are you???
I asked you a question that never got answered fatboy... Who are YOU to even question me? Do you think your fatass is special or something? Because I am not feeling that vibe. Get out of your mom's basement and stop being a douchebag please...
Well i knew we should have drafted Tom Brady, Anquan Boldin, Marqus Colston, Drew Brees, Frank Gore, Patrick Willis, (insert any other awesome player we didn't draft here) I guess what we're all saying is, what's your point?
I guess if I'm a "girlfriend" I'd have a problem with you, and I'd be whining because you never get anything nice for me.
Man you really are like a little kid. This is hilarious. I mean, you throw around insults and continue on this incredibly egotistical roll you're on. "Who are you to even question me?" I don't know. I guess I'm the guy on this forum that pointed out how self-righteous and egotistical you are and suggested that you stop talking about yourself and your predictions and instead talk about the Dolphins. By the way, I'm 5-10 and 165 pounds and I'm married with an eight-month old son. But hey, if calling me fat boy and douche bag makes you feel better, carry on. P.S. Aren't you wondering why multiple people are calling you out on the same thing? Do you think we have some weird internet forum conspiracy to mess with you? Or is it perhaps, that we all simply notice the same annoying behavior you're displaying? Hmmm...
honestly not sure what you mean here. we're 4-4. we were 7-9 last year. with our schedule we are virtually assured of finishing 8-8 at the least. that's not getting used to losing. if you mean teams havent sacrificed short term wins for long term qb development then look at the new york giants who jettisoned kurt warner to develop eli manning. this was initially a backwards step but it paid off four years later with a super bowl ring. the colts did the same by getting rid of jim harbaugh and replacing him with peyton manning. one step back to get to two steps forward
