BarryBuetel‎: Coach Sparano says Chad Pennington will start at QB this Sunday against the Titans..

ArmandoSalguero‎: Chad Pennington will start for the Dolphins this week ahead of Chad Henne.

    Dumb *** move.

If we lose those two games and they go back to Pennington, I'll be ready to throw this FO under the bus after all. The only reason to make a switch to Pennington is the possibility that he gives you a better chance to win. If you make that move, you make it when winning still matters. Doing it afterwards simply kills a young quarterback for no reason whatsoever.

Ugh. I do not like this at all. Too much turmoil for a team I thought was going somewhere this year.

We have thrown the ball 107 times in the last three games. Two of those games were losses. That is not protecting a QB. I'm sure he is holding him back on airing it out and managing him but he is not protecting him. You run the ball 11 times when you have Ricky and Ronnie. That is a passing game plan even if situations dictate. Henning has a passing agenda and has no idea how to carry it out. Inserting Pennington would only make things exponentially worse.

I like the move, but then again, you knew as much from our preseason talks

Happy birthday, by the way! I know, I'm late, but anyway. Hope you had a great one, mate.

I'm not disputing the TD #'s, Henne has missed at least 3 TDs in the red zone. I am strictly talking downfield throws.

Thanks mate. I hope you're doing well. We need to catch up via messaging one of these days.

And I have officially given up on this franchise. I haven't watched the last three weeks games and this puts the nail in the coffin.

Thought so Fellas, too much chatter there to ignore it, and from the right people, this was not some dip**** blogger out there predicting this, it was NFL Insider types whose reputations equals their paychecks they are not going to risk them with no basis.

this is a joke. wtf does putting pennington in do for the future? are they really "chips all in" to win a superbowl this year?!?! if so, 4-4 is tough to climb out've when the losses are to ny, pats, ravens, steelers (all ahead in the conference, 2 in the division, and 2 of them would be wildcard leaders) smells desperate

We do. I'm home in 3-4 hours if you want to look me up on AIM. Plenty to chat about I suppose

It's kinda funny because I told my bro on Sunday that I'm ready to give up on this franchise if they don't make a switch at QB soon

He didn't use the word desperate but alluded to them being 4-4 and it being time for action or something like that.

Yep, winning isn't the goal, the point of a NFL season is to serve as a minor league team while the young Qb learns the job.

Sorry 44 other active guys, bummer you wanted to win and stuff, but losing games is far more interesting..right?

Also the team drives me crazy and it's so stressful. THe chiefs seem to have it together and would be better for my sanity. I have enough stress at work I don't need dumb *** Henning and Sparano adding to it.

I bet we lose big this week. I don't see Pennington turning anything around. In fact I might put money on Tennessee. Like I said if anyone should be put into the starting spot it should have been Thigpen. This just screams I need some wins to save my job and get an extenstion at the end of the year for Sparano and Henning.

    Do it.

1 TD 5 int's and a QBR that is falling week after week, what exactly was Henne doing so well to cause such consternation for his precious *** being benched?

Elway was benched, Simms was benched, Steve Young was benched, but the wall flower Henne's wittle weelings wil be huwt if he sits for lack of performance?

Pretty much, this is not a Triple A minor league team, play well or sit ur azz down, that is how things were done in 08, that is how they are being done now.

A healthy Chad Pennington also had us playing against the AFC Superbowl representative Colts until the last minute and even threw the game winning touchdown pass that was dropped by Ted Ginn. Then the next week playing on a short week west coast road trip had the Chargers within one score (even with that fumble at the 1 yard line  ) until he got hurt for the year.

The line is pass blocking very well, and he has a lot more weapons than he did in either 08 or 09. Pennington's numbers throwing down the field, noodle arm or not are better than Henne's. It's not like teams don't play us close to the vest as it is. He'd be perfect for Marshall. He doesn't hesitate and does a very good job at play action. Who's to say we couldn't have put up a few more TDs with Chad P in the red zone? That alone would've won us the Steelers game.

Who knows if he's even at his 08/09 form though :confused1:

Oh, yeah and I said keep starting Henne right? :shifty:

And Mort, and Curruci, too many guys were staking reputations on this information to just be dead wrong.

JS and myself had duels over CP10, he though noodle arm was a poor fit "and just you wait until Henne has a real #1 Wr"

Wellll, we got one, Henne did not exactly lite up the scoreboard..in fact he was atrocious at placing us in the redzone.
