He seems like a sure tackler and he doesn't fall down as much but is not as quick or as young as Allen. Maybe he does end up being a good mentor for Davis and Smith because Jason Allen wasn't teaching them anything. In fact I think Allen could have learned some things from Davis and that is just sad.

If they would have kept Will Allen on the roster...

As for Dreads, Dolphins have a few.

Ricky's a former dread, Bess, Tony Mcdaniel, Channing Crowder, Chris Clemons, Nolan Carrol, Benny Sapp, Al Harris

As for Al Harris, love the move. Madden get the player ratings pretty accurately. He's an 85 overall in Madden. He's slow, 84 speed, but has veteran instincts, 97 AWR 93 Man Coverage, 96 press, and 97 Pursuit.

I have also seen him play personally of course, and he is definately a shutdown corner when healthy. Very physical. Good in run support. Love the move... Wish we could have released Will Allen, Benny Sapp, Or Nolan Carroll instead.

I was wondering if we might pursue him when reports came out earlier in the week he was going to be cut. I know he's getting a little long in the tooth, but pro bowl caliber corner's don't grow on tress. Let's hope he's healthy and hungry.

Sam Madison is only a year older...just saying.

Haha, who knows though, if he is healthy from his injury, he may be refreshed enough to do a good job as a backup.

Only time will tell how well he has held up since the surgery but before then he was a star on our D (I'm a Pac fan if the wasn't obvious lol) and the only reason we got rid of him is cause we finally have some young talent and enough depth to do so. Don't forget he was the the only corner that could cover OchoCinco the year that he kept that list in his locker so he can't be that bad right?

Another great move towards moving the organization to a Superbowl win!
Al "the ball hawk" Harris should be ballin' on that gimp knee. His upside must be HUGE compared to Allen and I can't wait to see what he contributes on special teams.

Not signing Merrimen is the only the only thing these guys got right in the last few weeks.
