How many QBs we play are better than Henne?

    1) Bills - Ryan Fitzpatrick (lighting it up this year)

    2) Vikings - Brett Favre (even with 3 injuries, he is still playing better)

    3) Jests - Mark Sanchez (far from great, but better, imo)

    4) Cheatriots - Tom Brady (nuff said)

    5) Packers - Aaron Rodgers (probably the best QB in the NFL)

    6) SteAlers - Big Ben (much better)

    7) Bengals - Carson Palmer (long time Franchise QB)

    8) Ravens - Joe Flacco (better than Henne)

    9) Titans - Vince Young (some bumps in his career but better than Henne)

    10) Bears - Jay Cutler (puts up some really huge games behind the worst OL)

    11) Raiders - Bruce Gradkowski (maybe a tie here, Gradkowski has looked decent though, but injured alot)

    12) Browns - Colt McCoy (looks better than Henne in his rookie season)

    13) Lions - Matt Stafford (I think we all agree he is better than Henne)

So, out of the 13 QB's we face this year pretty much ALL of them are better than Chad Henne. :pity:

This is the reason we aren't 6-2 or better right now guys. Henne just isn't that good of a QB.

Right now I would take Chad Pennington for this year over these 7 QBs:

    Ryan Fitzpatrick
    Brett Favre
    Mark Sanchez
    Carson Palmer
    Bruce Gradkowski
    Colt McCoy
    Matt Stafford

We still have to play against FIVE of those QBs this season.

I don't know about you guys but I know I want to win as many games as we can, screw draft position unless we are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. Then we take a look at what we have in Tyler Thigpen.

Chad Pennington gives us a better chance to win NOW.

I would just about KILL to even make it as a Wild Card Playoff team and get beaten in the first round than go 7-9 and be pissed off the entire offseason, probably starting the rebuilding process all over again. Hell, I would rather go 10-6 and just miss the playoffs. Something to build on for next season.

Winning breeds more winning, we all know that.

    Well away from here
Didn't Jay Cutler throw 4 INT's to DeAngelo Hall in one game? That's only happened what like 3 other times in NFL history and he's still better than Henne? Have you seen some of the throws Cutler makes? Seriously? Cutler?

Stafford has had 3 injuries to that same throwing shoulder. How many times is that going to happen and he's perfectly fine. Sorry, but to be a good player most times you actually have to be able to play. Is he talented? Yes. But is injured more than he plays.

And Brett Favre? He has 9 TD's and 13 INT's and he's better than Henne right now too? Really? Is that based on his legend or what he's actually done this year? I'm just asking because I'd love to know how throwing 3 more interceptions than the guy we just benched is better?

Brady, Rodgers and Big Ben are the only three I would take right now. I honestly believe Flacco and Sanchez are toss-ups. Neither have really separated themselves from the group.

And LOL at Colt McCoy looking better than Henne. C'mon dude.

With the exception of the Raiders and Browns, all the rest are better then Henne and McCoy is starting to show some good stuff. Never in my life would I think Fitzpatrick would be, IMO, better then anyone but gotta give the kid credit, he has been lighting it up this year. Chad Henne is going to be a valuable backup somewhere someday. Bet the AZ Cardinals would give us a nice draft pick for him. In the NFC West Henne would be among the leaders, even with his stats now.

Yes, I'm serious. Could Flacco and Sanchez end up better? Sure. But I've seen Flacco make a lot of mistakes (and Sanchez for that matter).

I haven't seen anything in Henne to suggest he can't correct most if not all of his issues.

And if you think Colt McCoy is better than Henne, I don't know what to tell you.

    DR is history, thank Mod!

I think Sanchez and Flacco were PLAYING better than Henne (and in Sanchez's case, not by much), but it would be pure conjecture at this point to say that they are better. Not enough of a track record.

12 people voted for Ryan Fitzpatrick ?????

    Isn't it early to drink?

    Brady
    Flacco
    Rodgers
    Big Ben

Put all the others on this team and we have the same or worse a record.I think many like Sanchez are on a par with Henne.

Obviously all of the quarterbacks listed are better than Henne, who stinks and got benched from playing so horrible.

    Obvious answer here folks.

Ummmm, Bruce Gradkowski isn't even a starter. Not only that, he was bounced from Tampa, who up until they drafted Freeman had arguably the worst QB situation in the entire NFL.

EDIT: If you were being sarcastic, that's my bad. (I hope you were)

That old dude is playing because this is his offense. If we didn't have Pennington on our roster, Henne would be playing. Right now, Pennington is just the better option.

Naw. There's at least three. Let's also not forget Vince Young was benched for an old guy.

He was at his friends house playing XBOX or something. Left his phone at home and took his gun with him. He wasn't exactly tearing it up before he was benched though.

    1) Jay Cutler - has the worst Oline in the NFL, has better accuracy than Henne (when he has time to throw), and at least as strong an arm. What do you think Chad Henne would do behind the Bears Oline? He would get KILLED. Hell, Henne can't get rid of the ball playing for us when he has seven seconds untouched in the pocket...And he definately would not have the Bears sitting at 5-3 in second place in their division one win behind the Packers (with the same amount of losses).

    2) Matt Stafford - Seriously? If he were here he would be tearing it up with all the time he would get to throw. That dude has some serious skills. Also, he probably wouldn't have gotten injured here.

    3) Brett Favre - Favre just threw for 446 yards and came back down 14 points with 5 minutes to go to send it to overtime just last Sunday, and then win it in overtime. All of this with two broken bones in his ankle, eight stitches in his chin, and probably arthritis.

When do you think we will ever see Henne do something like that?

All of those three are easily better than Chad Henne.

Exactly. We ALL want the Dolphins to win every game they play in. We just differ on who we think is the better Chad to do that. It's not like the ones that like Pennington better were yelling at the TV rooting for the opponents when Henne was in there.

I know some would rather take our lumps and lose a few more games to let Henne develop more and/or a higher draft pick, but the rest of us just want to win as many games as we can right now.

    LOL...

Chad Henne - 1900 yards/8 TDs/10 INTs/78.2 QBR - in 8 games with a great Oline and good WRs, better RBs, and much better Defense.

Ryan Fitzpatrick - 1499 yards/13 TDs/7 INTs/85.8 QBR - on the worst team in the NFL playing only SIX games.

You tell me who is better?
