Just heard Peter King say that Long injured his shoulder in the game today. Could be a serious injury. Trying to find some documentation now.
Jake getting MRI on that shoulder. Already playing with MCL all year. - sent from my Android via Tapatalk -
Still no article backing this up. It's blowing up on twitter though. Will post something as soon as I find it.
Jake Long Injury??? I was just watching NBC and Peter King reported that Jake Long is having an MRI on his shoulder today/tomorrow and there may be some concern about it. Moreso than the QB injuries. Has anyone heard anything about this? When it rains, it pours...
Man oh man... as if it wasnt bad enough. Id have rather lost the game today than lost all the guys we have.
Walking wounded after this game. Henne, Pennington, Long, Bell, Langford, and Wake The Titans ARE a physical team.
More concern than the QB's who are said to be out for the year? What's left, he needs his leg to be amputated?
haven't seen anything at all regarding an injury on Jake Long.. on the other hand, Wake has a bad hip and might be out vs the Bears.
Not me. At least now we still stand a chance. We would have been completely done if we would have lost today. There is no circumstance where I would ever want to lose a football game.
Gotta give a bunch of guys the Bears game off. Of any games we can afford to lose it's to an NFC team. Hope the 14 days between today and the Raiders game is enough to get people healthy.
Oh trust me, I'm glad we won. Especially since my gf is a titans fan It just really hurts loosing the guys we've lost today. Was saying it more as a figure of speech kind of thing really
Now all we need is Ronnie's inevitable injury and then countdown to Marshall's meltdown. Why is every season a Greek tragedy? Liquor Stores should give Dolphin fans 50% off because we keep their asses in business.
Jeff Darlington of the Miami Herald reports that Dolphins LT Jake Long has a dislocated shoulder. He'll have an MRI either late tonight or on Monday, but it's not good news for the Fins with their next game coming Thursday night against the Bears. Miami's left tackle is presumably RT Vernon Carey, who has experience at the blind-side position. In the event that Carey is moved (to square off with Julius Peppers in Week 11), the Fins would be down to Lydon Murtha and Pat McQuistan as right tackle options. It's not a good situation. Nah forget it. Don't make him rush back, period. If it costs the season it costs the season, don't ruin his career. Still think we can beat the Bears and the Raiders.
may be able to play with shoulder injury http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolp...-long-has-a-dislocated-shoulder-not-good.html
Now is when we will either reap the rewards or feel the pain of the constant turnover of the bottom of the roster. We can only hope we have the depth to deal with these injuries and still win the games we should win. If this had to happen, this is the best time for it to happen. We have mostly winnable games the rest of the way.
Miami just played the three most physical teams in the NFL back to back to back, off their bye week while they were well rested too. Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Tennessee.
My gut reaction to this is, Jake Long will play through it. He's a tough guy and he'll play through things other guys wouldn't be able to play through. I haven't heard anything YET that makes me think the injury is severe enough to keep him out a while. Not saying I'm sure, just my gut reaction.
