    GOOD READ

From left to right, Miami's offensive line is shaping up as Jake Long, TBA, Samson Satele, Justin Smiley, and Vernon Carey, who was on the left.

The last offensive tackle the Dolphins drafted in the first round, Vernon Carey, got a look at the left side before being scooted over to the right side for three seasons. Tuesday's Jake Long revelation does the same thing -- scoots Carey back over to right tackle and adds a third block in what the Dolphins hope will be a good line for several years.

Now, the Dolphins have 6-5, 335-pound Carey back at right tackle, where he had begun to excel in 2006 before being moved back to the left in 2007; 2007 second-rounder Samson Satele at center, where he received plaudits as a potential NFL long-timer while earning consensus All-Rookie status; and Long, 6-7, 315, at left tackle.

Very nice, I like the sounds of our o-line so far. Except for that LG position... I know alot of people are talking Mormino to go there, but i dont know, hopefully he can come in this year and prove himself worth of starting, but I think we draft someone, and let them fight it out. Even that worries me though, thats alot of youth and inexperience on the left side

We may be very young and inexperienced on the left side, but next season is still a rebuilding year anyway, so I like the infusion of youth. I expect them to take a guard in the 3rd or 4th rounds, I like greco or Zuttah for the position. Then let Mormino duke it out with the draftee next TC and see who wins. Competition is always good.

Our Oline is a mess, we just drafted the biggest waste of space to ever come down the pike. He is such a POS that we should all pack it in and call it a season.

I just thought I would join the whiners who are never happy.

I think the biggest impact will be on our QBs. We have a couple of young guys who might be able to play. But neither would be able to play behind the Oline we had last year. It was a joke. JB who didnt look good, (and I am not saying he is or isn't) would never have been able to show it with our offense last year. Unfortunately for Josh McCown, probably the only team with a worse line than us was the Raiders. And he still put up a monster game vs Cleveland. So I think there is potential at the QB spot without drafting a QB. Anyone who would've said that Anderson in Cleveland was going to be a stud at this time last year would have been certified as looney. This gives me some hope for both young Beck and young McCown.

Might we still draft Henne? Sure. Its always an option. And I am not against it, I just think we have a realistic chance to get three or four second round picks and it would be interesting what we could do if we didn't have to draft a QB. I kept up with JM when he was at SHSU in Texas. My younger brother was going there at the time. I don't remember who drafted him (it wasn't the Raiders). I watched his brother Luke at La Tech. I remember when they played the Hurricanes (UM had Brock Berlin) thinking that if teams could switch QBs Miami could have played for the NC.

But anyway, we'll roll with what we've got and with what we pick up on Saturday. I just think by addressing and improving the oline is the quickest way to get an honest read on the QB situation.

I like Zuttah as well. Greco I don't know much about. I watched Zuttah quite a bit over the past two years and he seems like he has the size and the the attitude to make a good pro. Esp if he is coming in to compete with Mormino.

As for as the youth on the left side, I remember starting two rookies (R. Webb and Keith Sims). That turned out okay for us. Worst case, we throw them in and in this rebuilding year they gel and by next year they are legit. But just maybe they can play together at this level sooner than we think.
