henne vick penny kolb......really Henne was benched for Penny so they could see if its the triggerman or the playcaller.....period. we all know its that old fart pos. As for vick or kolb who knows.......prolly end up trading for TBow.... lol
Vick will once again show his true colors sooner than later, IMO. And no, I'm not talking about his criminal tendencies. He's had a few good games this season. He was absolutely a horrible QB before he went to prison. I, in no way, shape, or form want him here. However, I really like Kolb. I think Reid made a mistake when he benched him. I think Kolb is their future, and like Henne, will go through some growing pains. I think putting in Vick just hinder's the development of Kolb. I would love to get Kolb and let him and Henne fight it out.
That is crazy talk. What is so hard to fathom about "it is a win now league"? This is not Triple A baseball, Head Coaches do not just waste games so the Qb can learn how to do their job./
Thank you... henne is not helping us win right now, and i dont want to wait for more development out of him, if we enter next season saying we hope henne developes more this season rather than we hope he takes us to the superbowl.. thats just stupid. so i just threw out a suggestion and a thought of kolb and vick.
Nonsense. Would you rather be the 2002 Tampa Bay Bucs or the Steelers, Patriots, or Colts of the 2000's? I rest my case.
I say Philly keeps them both, why would we give up draft picks for a QB now, and this is a dumb thread.
Haven't you heard they all pop out of the vag with Marino's skills Don't you know anything? Pod don't believe in development yet he sold his soul to Satan to see Pat White become the Dolphins QB. Very confusing.....
Nice, fact is I do (or did) like all 4 Qb's we had in TC, for their differences. Not really, I do not think there is anything magical about the qb position, to me a guy can play or they can't, and that shows up quickly. As for Henne, how many times do I have to say I am not down on him, he was benched not shot, Sparano chose to win games rather than go through the BS about "Gosh, next yr". I expect if Thiggy struggles Henne will play sooner rather than later, likewise if Thiggy does what I think he will 2 Td's 280 yds, then Henne will have a nice rehab opportunity. Thiggy being a FA this offseason is too terrible to contemplate BTW. As for Pat White, I have one rule, a player should be given opportunities to prove they just do not have it, White never really had those opportunities, not even as the Wildcat Qb and to me that is a mark against Sparano and David Lee and Bill Parcells, if you are going to draft a guy with that high of a pick then my goodness let the man play even if he gets his *** knocked out. To this moment I would have liked to have seen Henning and Sparano use White the way the Jest use Brad Smith, but they just wouldn't do it and to this day that bothers me. Give the man a chance for pete's sake and to me, they never did, they gave Jason Allen a chances to fail and he did, that is why you did not hear me say nary a negative word when he was released and Al Harris signed to replace him.
I would trade Henne and a late pick for Kolb. Isn't that what some people want us to continue to do with Henne?
I have not given up on Chad Henne, I think right now he is a "good" NFL Qb, I believe (not think mind you) he can be a fine NFL Qb given more time and more weapons. Henne managed to bring us to a .500 record against the toughest schedule in the NFL, in his second season, he is not a cast off type of Qb, he is a damn good Qb. Trade Henne for Kolb? More crazy talk.
If Henne were QBing in Philly with THAT offense, we'd probably be speaking of how great it would be to bring him to Miami.
When a qb is throwing to Maclin and Jackson those two tend to be "College Open" 4 steps on a defender, with Celek underneath Henne would ring up some numbers.
......then throw in McCoy out of the backfield. ouch. That's why I'm not really for overly judging or crucifying Henne at this point. I agree, he'd have a field day in Philly with receivers who have at least a few steps of separation.
Exactly, that is where I am with Henne myself, he is making do with what he has, but that big arm is meant for throwing downfield to Wr's open by 3 steps, not dink dunk dink..imho.
and that's so frustrating to me knowing that we're basically watching dust pile up on it. I wonder if this hinders his downfield accuracy (from lack of quality reps and all).
