Many people were wondering if he'd be able to play like a "real" quaterback, or just perform because of athleticism. Hopefully he'll prove that tomorrow.

Many people asked that about Vick as well. Not saying by any means that Thiggy is anything close to Vick, I'm just saying if he can use his athleticism as a weapon to his passing game I really like what he may be able to do here.

I like the kid. I'm pulling for him. And, I'm really glad he's our 3rd string QB. He gives us an even chance against anybody IMO.

Just be smart and stay healthy Ty.

Nice story. But I can't believe our starting quarterback lost the QB job his senior year of high school.

Who would have thought that when we were all saying we've got the best depth at QB compared to anyone in the NFL, that we'd be right, and actually need to use it.

Great planning by the coaching staff on this one.

I mentioned this to someone and he pointed out that Michael Jordan got cut in high school. So, there's that.

I remember 1972 when our starting QB (Bob Griese) broke his leg and in came old Earl Morrall to keep us undefeated. Thigpen can be our Earl Morrall and lead us to the playoffs.

A common misconception. MJ was never cut in High School. He failed to make the Varsity team until his Junior Year. That team had a strict rule that limited anyone but upper classmen to the Varsity. His friend and fellow Sophomore made it the year Jordan tried out, but only because he was taller than MJ.
