Watched the first episode last night. Typical first show stuff, with the exception of Jimmy Johnson. I wondered how his presence (a celebrity of sorts amongst regular people) would play out. But, he was just up front by his tribe telling them he wasn't there for the money, just for the adventure. I also liked the old vs. the young aspect. Should be a good season.

I don't like the power idol, but it definitely gives the older guys a better chance making it a lot more interesting.

Boy that Shannon was a piece of work eh? That was the craziest FIRST tribal council I've seen. Between him and Sash (although, I was wondering too... Sash??), and then Naonka and Judd, some serious hits and misses last night... BTW, didn't even notice that fifth guy, Benry, until council last night. Where'd he come from? lol... The young tribe is a mess... the old tribe has character... I'm rooting for the elders...and JIMMY!

Both tribal councils so far showcased people who talked too much and were voted out b/c of it. In both cases the people went in with a 50/50 chance but swung the voters against them.

Wendy was obviously weird, but became gratingly annoying at council. At the end she believed that things would have been different if she had let her personality out sooner. IMO if she had started talking sooner they might have lynched her way before tribal council.

Shannon was obviously a physical asset and had leadership qualities. But he was also a misogynist and a homophobe. People can believe what they want but in a game like Survivor its often imperative that you know which beliefs you should keep to yourself. By the time tribal council ended, he had convinced the majority he was too much of a loose cannon to keep around.

I saw both of those as classic cases of it being better to keep quiet and having people think you're a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Man, JJ Is really into this game. Did y'all see him hit that mud in the reward/immunity challenge? Dude is playin' strong. Hope he sticks around for a while. He's definitely making this a very interesting Survivor so far.

I thought it was a bad decision to vote off JJ. For the life of me i cant see why he would be considered a threat. I dont see the older tribe winning anything without him.

That Naonka ***** cannot get off my tv soon enough! For some reason I'd love to see Fabio win.

I never understood the JJ is a threat line of thinking either.

And IMO Naonka is just not a good person. She's the type that can justify treating others badly for any selfish reason.

I agree with you all about JJ. I find it hard to believe that anyone would consider him a threat for the money (dude is obviously loaded). And, he seemed very sincere and genuine when he said he wanted to help them all advance in the game.

On a side, I kept thinking...man, if I was there on Survivor, and Coach Johnson was there, the conversations I'd be having with him. Especially being a Phins fan.

Yeah, that part where she basically assaulted the one legged girl for the clue to the HII, and then the diary excerpt immediately afterward where she was comparing the hood to the ghetto, or whatever the hell she was saying, I was like...she's got to go. Then a few minutes later they show her trying to read the clue, and she can't figure it out so she brings in the asian girl for help. LMAO!

Anyway, she'll get what's coming to her. Just a matter of time.

hah.. yeah, would be extremely hard to hide that alliance.

another suvivor contestant: "Boy you really like that Jimmy Johnson"

    Me: "how can you tell"

the other contestant: "spooning him at night for starters!"

    Me: "I was cold!"

the other contestant: "it's 85 degrees at night!"

Me: "did you factor in the ocean breeze?"

Jimmy T = Pats Fan.... not sad to see him get voted off at all... i have some people I'm pulling for.. the doctor (smartest on the show), the two cute girls on the young tribe who have been isolated from the rest. I hope Naonka gets separated from that idol when the tribes switchup LMAO...

Just saw last Wednesday's episode last night. Cant believe they didn't take out Naonka when they had the chance. She was actually campaigning to go home too! I yi yi.

Oh, and Marty better was his a**. He's not in nearly as strong a position within his tribe as he was before they were reshuffled. Honestly, I think his mouth and attitude is gonna get him voted off, which is fine by me really.

I like Brenda (well, I know I like looking at her :wink2:). I think her and Chase could do some damage together in this game. Reckon that's who I'm pulling for from here on out.

Can't believe La Flor didn't take out Marty when they had the chance (on the re-vote). I mean, how stupid can you be? Was also sorry to see Kelly B go. Nice girl with a great attitude who obviously doesn't let the loss of a leg stop her from doing anything. Really hated how others hated on her for her "handicap" too. Brenda coming on as a major player.

I got the impression that the re-vote was done immediately. Nobody but Brenda and Sash do any independent thinking so unless they were able to communicate to somebody to change their vote, everybody just stuck with their past vote. I don't know if either one of those two had voted for Kelly B and could have just changed their vote to Marty. I am also bummed that Kelly B got voted out. She seemed like a good person. I also liked Yve. I don't know that there's anybody left that I'm rooting for. I guess I could root for Jane, but mostly the ones that are left are people I'm rooting against.

And how in the f*** is Danny still there?!?!?! If I heard someone wanted to quit and was walking on their last legs, I would vote for them no matter what.

are you serious? The all star thing is cool and all, but eventually having the same people on over and over is going to get old. Perhaps they should have a new Survivor show (All Stars) and then keep the regular one going... at the same time?

Every other season will be an "all-star season" from now on.

    very light spoiler
Next season it will just be Rob and Russell being team leaders, like Bobby Jon and Steph during the Guatemala season.

    bigger spoiler
It's unclear whether this season is just a regular season or if it will be an all-star season. Spoilers have indicated it might be a celebrity season. Two specifically are Kimbo Slice and Carey Prejin (the miss USA girl who got **** for saying marriage is between a man and a women, married Kyle Boller, look her up if I'm not being clear). Rumors say they're both on. But I've also heard some normal folk are there too, so it might be like Jimmy Johnson and they just have two celebs.

    BIG BIG SPOILER
Kimbo Slice tries to out Boston Rob and carrie Prejin gives her idol to Rob and Kimbo is out.

My info comes from Missaye. If you're unfamiliar, she has spoiled the last two seasons into complete detail. I wouldn't say it's inaccurate yet. Some speculated she was Russell's wife because of how detailed her info was. But no one really knows. Either way, she's proven credible in the past.

    a strange season on Survivor.
But I'm glad the winner was who it was. Fabio deserved it IMO by winning the last three challenges and Sash didn't even get a vote :tongue2: I really thought I backed the wrong person AGAIN, when Chase was getting all the votes... that was crazy stuff... Next season doesn't look like an all star season at all. Not sure how it will work with Redemption Island though. When does someone win getting back into the game? After three defeats in a row on Red Isle?
