if you put me on ignore id hunt you down and find you. we feed off eachothers posts.........i need you.
How about...this season and this FO have become such a disappointment that I am thinking about putting the entire Miami Dolphins organization on my ignore list. Hey...maybe we can petition the NFL to be moved to the AFC West, where we would still be considered a contender?
stranger things have happened to a franchise Boise Dolphins? never know, these teams are not public property, they have an owner Idaho, Montana, Utah, Wyoming are due a shot @ the NFL
Its a work in progress .It probably be a day or so before its fixed. This is a good opportunity for all of you to use the Add reputation feature .Its worth more than ordinary thanks as some of our members with the high reps have found out .
The Jets are 8-2, have the better coach, the better front office and the better QB. Is this depressing enough for all of you?
The Bills have as long a winning streak as we've had this year, and will be able to get a longer streak than us next week.
Steve Johnson, a 7th rd pick in 2008, is having a better year statistically than Brandon Marshall whom we traded two 2nds for.
I'd like to say that result is because of the Bills passing more than we do due to being behind so often, but realistically, they just have a better offense. Chan Gailey is good at getting results.
Steve Johnson has already had a better year in 10 games than a player whom we took 9th overall ever did in 16 games.
the facts in this thread suck. but are true. i think we need to realize we just arent that good. are we even a few players away from a title like originally thought? i dont know anymore.....
We're a QB away, and I firmly believe that. Whether Henne can be that QB, I don't know. Of course the odds are against him, but I'm hoping for the best.
Not a good QB, no. A great QB, yes. If we only have a good QB, we are probably more than a few players away (and by a few I mean 3 or less).
So the Jets and Pats both won again today... The Jets are looking like the luckiest team in the league this season... the Pats are also quite lucky... good news is that they BOTH can't win the SuperBowl in the same year. Bad news is that one of them likely will find a way... fml...
thats special rep boss, I know exactly where its at...did you give me any for my 20,000th post?.....lol
With all due respect, I couldn't disagree more. Truth of the matter is this team has many holes right now. In fact, an improvement at the QB position may be one of the least concerns right now. Put it this way, while an elite QB can hide/overcome a great many deficiencies, a solid team can carry an average QB. JMHO.
just the recent QB play in superbowl's has been outstanding, that cardinal steeler game was an incredible display of QB playmaking...
A QB and offense coordinator in my opinion. I dont care how great the QB is if we are playing this same boring ole offense its not going to matter. Brady this year is showing us what having a good QB and good offensive game plan can do for a team with little talent.
I don't disagree with you. And I never said this team doesn't have lots of holes. But just because you have holes doesn't preclude you from being a player away from being capable of winning a Super Bowl IMO (so long as that player is elite at QB).
Well I'm already assuming Henning is done after this year, and coaches weren't really mentioned in Sick's post. I'd love for Josh McDaniels to get a shot at OC here if he doesn't last past this season (not sure how'd that jive with Marshall though).
Every team has holes. We should consider giving up this ridiculous notion that every hole should be filled to be a contender. If Henne can take his game to the next level this team can go very far. I hope he does and I hope he's ready to come back soon.
I considered that, but it's not like they'll be working too often together. They'd have their own separate units.
Again, with all due respect...one player does not make a championship team. Not even a QB (arguably the most important position on a football team). And, the thing that comes to my mind when I say that is Marino. Safe to say he was an elite QB, and safe to say there were many holes in the team(s) around him. One SB appearance. No rings. Now, contrast that with the Ravens of '01, and you see a team that was rock solid, a great D, and a journeyman QB. Results? Championship. When I look at the teams that are doing the best right now, most have a good or great QB, and a solid team around him. I don't see any team that has a good or great QB and is suspect in other areas (i.e., weak defensively, no running game, poor special teams, etc.). Look, you could put Peyton Manning or Tom Brady on this team (arguably the two best QB's currently playing the game), but they don't play defense. And, they don't play special teams. We're more than one player away from a SB. Even an elite QB. Just sayin'...
