i guess its good that he is able to step back and realize what he does and not have attitude about it, but its still not acceptable. the guy should be an example to his team.

there are conversations about potential new head coaches. not every coach is going to deal with this stuff the same way. some coaches wont tolerate this stuff and the situation can get ugly. BM will either have to cut it out completely (which i dont imagine he will. it seems sufficient to him to be apologetic and once he moves past it, its ok and everyone else should move on) or the coach will have to take it in stride like tony appears to be doing. but not every coach is lenient with this stuff

it seems to me that preaching a culture of discipline is tough to do when a high profile player disregards it routinely

besides Marshall getting a wealth of the coverage .... the best thing that can happen in the offseason is for Henne and all the WRs to spend some extra time on their own to get on the same sheet ...

Henne is on a better plane with Hartline and Bess, because of playing time -- but playing time is not helping with Brandon because of coverages. also another reason Henne doesn't go his way often -- and why when it hasn't turned out very well just about every time he forces it.

I wanted Marshall here, and predicted the trade .... i thought and stated that his value would be seen more in opening the field for others and not himself until we improved. unfortunately, we have not improved enough at TE (albeit, Fasano has had a 'couple' of good games - but not consistently) and even though i like Hartline, i don't view him as meeting our requirement for the speed WR that would help pull coverage off of Brandon.

of course, then we have the whole play calling fiasco .....

He's had a great season so far. I just wish he could get in the endzone more....not all his fault.

That is all I wanted. Even though I know I am not owed or anything.

I am happy that Marshall is being a man enough to own up to his mistakes.

Dude needs to just catch balls, score more than 1 TD, and shut up.
