you could be right. i was thinking it was Ross making suggestions or making demands. Thats another thing that makes Parcells leave right away.

I don't think Henning stays, with or without Parcells. Too much pressure from the fans, and it wouldn't be good for PR. But I don't think Lee would take the OC position. If anything, I think Sparano would take control.

i agree with henning but i leave open the possibility. i do think that the ire has reached a critical phase so its almost impossible to not make the move. I would be surprised if Sparano takes over the playcalling though

That's convenient. So even if Dan Henning does get fired, it will not have been a football move made by people who know football, but rather a function of the misguided notions of the fans that you guys have been arguing with for months. And therefore, you'll never have been wrong about him.

Which is really funny, when you consider the Chiefs, who are of mediocre success as it stands, have Carl Peterson to thank for pretty much all of their quality players outside of what, Matt Cassell and Tony Moeki? Drafting Tyson Jackson 3rd overall? Are you kidding?

well if they bring in kubiak or bratkowski i will have been wrong but if they simply switch to lee then it's merely a scapegoat move like Richardson in carolina. it really depends if they depart from the philosophy or not. i dont really care who calls the plays i want the philosophy to stay. not this year's since i believe its more about doing the best you can with the crappy cards dealt to you but more in terms of the traditional henning philosophy of ball control, run heavy style. Some version of Coryell or perkins erhardt philosophy with an emphasis on ball control. What I dont want to switch too is a pass heavy, precision attack since I dont think Henne will ever be that type of QB. I know Kubiak and Bratkowski run Coryell offenses but they are differnt styles although bratkowski has more run emphasis

Wrong about what? I don't think I've ever said I think Henning should stay.

I think either way the coaching staff could care less what the mob thinks. They do care what the owner thinks. Either way I'd be shocked if David Lee assumed the job.

I believe they have turned over a lot of their roster in the last two years. Pioli is the architect of all the great NE teams and I am sure he will, with the help of 2 former NE co-ordinators get them to the promised land faster than the track we are on.

The owner certainly does care. Even if the "football people" want to keep Henning, I don't think they'd be willing get into any type of battle with Ross over keeping him around.

He might but its the coaches that make the difference for them this year. And with Pioli in charge, it won't be very long until their draft choices make us all envious. I have so much hate, but respect for Pioli and all those NE people. I can't stand them, but I see the results and it makes me green with envy.

    Personal feeling.

I don't see Stephen Ross standing for the status quo. David Lee is the status quo. I could see Stephen Ross being OK with Tony Sparano taking a larger hand in the offensive game planning, but in that scenario I'm not sure you could really say David Lee is taking Dan Henning's place so much as Tony Sparano is taking Dan Henning's place.

Then that has nothing to do with fan outcry.

Your belief doesn't coincide with reality very well. Virtually all of the Chiefs talented players were inherited. Jamaal Charles, Dwayne Bowe, Tamba Hali, Derrick Johnson, Brian Waters, and Brandon Flowers are all guys Carl Peterson picked up. In fact, probably their most notable job of "turning over" something was letting Wade Smith(Yes, that Wade Smith) go to the Texans, where he's playing very well.

I would guess that is something that Ross would weigh pretty heavily.

I would guess that it's a move that is going to be made by Sparano and the determining factor has very little to do with anything other than production. I think the staff is Sparano's decisions because he lives or dies with those decisions. Call it a professional courtesy.

i wonder if they keep the oline coach? this is the first time i believe he has been in charge of the offensive line in the nfl. when he was with the giants i believe he was an assistant ol coach. do we give him anther year to prove himself or do we get rid of him and bring in a vet offensive line coach

Watch for Josh McDaniels from Denver. He could be the new OC here.
