First of all, happy turkey corpse consumption day. Now, start posting any Black Friday deals you come across. There should be more than a few this year. I’ll start things off: Kotaku’s big list of Black Friday deals Black Friday Info’s list And BFAds has a good list, too. Some of these deals aren’t really deals, they’re just advertisements. Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood for full price, for example. But for the most part, you can save some money. Me, I’m looking for an Xbox 360 at a decent price so I can finally play through some of its games. Alan Wake, maybe Halo Reach, things like that. $200 for a 4GB 360 just isn’t going to cut it, though.
NFS: Hot Pursuit is currently $39.99 on Amazon, or $34.99 + tax on kmart.com for those interested. I'd recommend it at either price. AC: brotherhood is $39.99 on kmart.com http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_...ckType=G2&aff=Y&sid=KAx20050801x13xSlickdeals
Desides, if you thought you could sell the Kinect for $100 or more (assuming you have no interest in it) starting at 1am EST tomorrow on Dell they have the 4GB Kinect Bundle w/ 1 yr of Xbox live for $300. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...643&acd=10550055-1225267-u350258t0f0fp0c0s441 $300 w/ code SG74BKD$S88B01 Free Shipping Hell, if you didn't want the yr of Live you could probably sell it for $40-50 with no problem.
NFS Hot Pursuit is $34.99 at bestbuy.com (online), with no shipping nor tax... unless you live in CA you need to pay that Use Tax when you file your tax return (yeah... right). (Edit, wrong about the tax part... I'm used to getting by crap at amazon) Thanks for the lead on the AC... hadn't seen it on sale anywhere.
Bestbuy will have Battlefield Bad Company 2 for 29.99 on black friday. Im probably going to pick that up.
Desides, 4GB for $160. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...note_bnrank=0&baynote_irrank=4&~ck=dellSearch Coupon code "1FR8QLQS?T3J0G" brings it to $159.99. FS Coupon is for 20% off I guess, so it'd work on the 250gb too. Edit: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...note_bnrank=0&baynote_irrank=1&~ck=dellSearch That's the Halo Reach edition, has 250gb S model, 2 (halo themed) controllers, Halo Reach, and headset for $320 (w/coupon).
What a great time to have my 4 year old 360 RROD. Been wanting to get a new one. Looks like I'm going to do that deal from Amazon for a 4GB Xbox + $60 gift card for $199.99 since I already have a 120GB HDD and transfer cable.
I've read that the physical hard drives are the same, and with a little bit of work you can get the old 120gb into the new S model.
On converting an old HDD? Very simple.
Got it. Thought you were going to just slap one into the other. Speaking of the 360, still can’t find a good deal on a 360 with any sort of HDD space. Might have to just wait another year for price drops. Or, at this rate, wait until the Xbox 720 comes out and pick up a 360 for cheap off eBay. It’s a shame Skyward Sword hasn’t already come out. That’s the last game forcing me to keep my Wii. Otherwise I’d sell it and convert that into a 360.
