God I hope the D knows how to tackle on Sunday. This guy can do it all including catching the ball. Probably the only guy who worries me, but he can take over a game.
I heard it was something about Josh wanting ribbons wrapped around all hangers in the coaches closet and Hillis missed one and Josh went on this rant about wire hangers...it was ugly...then he traded him.
You're right. I don't understand anything McDaniels has done this year. Giving 3 picks to overdraft Tim Tebow is on top of the list.
Gotta think Dansby is going to know where he is at all times. Dansby won't give up on pursuit and will track him down if the others are grabbing air. Dansby and Wake have been the only two that have continued to play big every week. I have to believe they will also be in the backfield disrupting a lot before it develops reguardless of who their QB is.
We've been pretty darn good on run defense most of the year. As long as we tackle well, we should be fine.
You also have to watch him as a receiver out of the backfield. Jets had problems with him in the first half of their game and then found an answer in the second half. But the guy scared the crap out of me. He is prone to fumbles, so Miami should be looking to put a hat on the ball. His arms are so huge that the balls seems to squirt out when it is hit.
Mike Nolan should have the defense focusing only on Hillis. Jake Delhomme is garbage and shouldn't even be in the league.
We already faced the top two backs in the NFL (Adrian Peterson and Chris Johnson) and neither of them went crazy on us. Hillis probably will get his 100 yards, we just need to make sure we limit any big runs.
why can't he have a great game and the dolphins still win, so fantasy football owners and dolphins fans like me will be happy? lol
McFadden was having some big games before he came up on our D, I think we'll be fine we have the better team.
Because Josh McDaniels is a very arrogant punk who has yet to learn that the game of football can humble you. Bowlen is an idiot for bringing McDaniels back for 2011, if I have read correctly. Even that loyal Denver fanbase could get shakey with another year of this mental midget in charge of the Broncos.
If you had told me last week that we'd hold Bush and McFadden to 16 total yards, I would have told you you were crazy... This is one dude, not two. Punch him in the mouth early and they might forget about trying to run. If the YB, Dobbins, Soliai, Misi and Wake from last week show up, you can stick a fork in Hillis!
Containing Hillis will be one of Nolan's priorities, I'm sure. He'll gets his yards, but keeping him out of the endzone is critical. But, what about Cribbs? I know he was injured (dislocated toe IIRC). But, I think he came back and played on KR's last week. Assuming he's healthy, he can run their Wildcat, and is a threat to take it the distance anytime he touches the ball. He is potentially the bigger concern IMHO.
Seriously, I watched the replay of the Browns-Panthers last night, and some of his passes, he looks like a lost rookie out there. Definitely make him beat us! Hillis is the man, though! He is fun to watch .... just not this weekend!
Yeah, ankle injury IIRC. I don't when it happened, or to what extent, but it's unlikely he will play against us this weekend according to what I read.
