I'm a huge Cavs homer, but c'mon! I think the Cavs have a chance if they play like they did against Boston to start the season - but there is NO WAY they murder them. I think there is about a 25% chance the Cavs win this game.

They have NO ONE to guard LeBron and the Heats' weaknesses (quick PG and bigs underneath) don't exactly play to the Cavs' strengths (Mo Williams might go off but Hickson has been horrible since opening the season on a terror.)

Lakers have lost 4 in a row.

Does Jerry Buss fire Phil Jackson and install Brian Shaw as coach?

    Their season is over.

    quick stat...not a single one of Phil Jackson's 8,793 championship teams ever..EVER lost 4 in a row.

    Oh..and BTW...I think it's KARMA.

Phil makes his dumbass comments...he quickly loses 4 in a row.

The Bulls fans talked plenty of crap and low and behold..the Baby Bulls still suck and their 85 million dollar man breaks his hand in the preseason and then debuts to a blowout at the hands of the Magic.

That takes care of the laker and Bulls fans...

The Knicks fans? well..they ARE the Knicks fans...they have suffered enough. or not.

The Cavs fans have already endured and don't deserve any Karma hit although Dan Gilbert is tempting fate.

Orlando (Otis Smith) will get theirs....trust me.

Boston fans are the ones that are on Karma watch now.

    hatin' doesn't pay.

    Wade - 22/9/9 in 32 minutes
    James - 38/8/5 in 30 minutes

Would been great if Wade had gotten a triple-double and James got 40-50 in that game. Easily could have happened.

Cleveland might have the worst starting 5 in the league. Skip Bayless and the rest of those idiots certainly need to be mocked but the Heat winning this game should've been expected.

That is a tough one...but remember that they run Jamison off the bench...so that hurts their five.

I actually like ALOT of their players. Except Jamison..as good as he is...he is a flat out loser. I said so when they traded for him that it was a mistake.

    I would take:

    Side Show Bob
    Boobie Gibson
    Jamario Moon
    JJ Hickson

The rest...I can do without. Especially Mo Williams. That jackass shined off Pat Riley. he could have been here..but decided he wanted 5 million more and losing in Milwaukee. That kinda says it all.

But the guys I posted are really good role players.

and yes...as a Heat fan....I have always been terrified of Mo Williams. Not so much anymore. LOL.

I'm always surprised Moon doesn't have more success. He can jump out of the arena, shoot threes and rebound. He and LeBron started to get some alley-oops going last year but that seems like it should be a huge part of Moon's game. Not sure if he just doesn't have the IQ to get to the hoop or what.

He was here remember.....We loved him..the coaching staff...not so much. There is something wrong with him in the IQ department if the Heat didn;t even make an effort to match the 3 million the Cavs gave him.

I'd take some of the Cavs players as well but for bench depth. Steve Kerr said last night that the Cavs have to execute plays perfectly just to score due to the lack of play makers they have. They might have a shot in the East though they'd probably face whoever the #1 seed would be in the playoffs and get swept immediately.

Like I said in another thread - the Cavs are a team built to revolve around a superstar (or at least a scorer in the mold of a slasher). Lots of shooters (Mo, Boobie, Parker), a traditional PF (Hickson) a stretch 4 (Jamison), a hustle/rebounding C (Varajao).

I would love to see them pick up someone like Granger, Mayo or Igoudala and see where they could end up. With the TPE and Jamison's contract I would think they could add some pieces / picks this year.

Obviously I don't think they would compete for a champ but a team of Mo, Parker, Granger, Hickson, Varajao would be a decent start. Then use all those picks from MIA and some expirings (Moon / Jamison) to get some draft picks.

The culture has really changed in the last 5 years. It is REALLY hard for a small market team to compete. Cleveland isn't going to attract any FA so almost all of their building has to be done in the draft (TOTAL crapshoot) or trades (where a superstar is rarely available and who will more than likely leave at end of contract).

I haven’t heard it, but if Section is talking about a Le Batard rant, it involves 1. the Miami Heat, 2. something really good happening to them, something like a win on the road in Cleveland, and 3. schadenfreude derived from Heat haters.

But as a matter of fact..Being right is a habit for me. Ask the people that bet with me the last two NBA playoffs. The NBA Playoffs just turn into my Dolphin Season Tickets every year. SO I can then witness this BS this team puts us through....AGAIN.

    Since this thread was started....

. The Heat has won 9 in a row.

. Taken 1st place in their division and the #2 seed.

. Moved to #1 in the NBA in total defense.

. Won all of the games by double digits and an average of 17 points.

IF the Heat beat Cleveland by double digits on Wednesday...they will TIE the all-time record of consecutive double digit wins. Every double digit win after that, works on a All-time NBA record.

(Which means that they can set an all-time record in MSG....LOL. How fitting. How Fitting.)

who's your daddy? The Celtics are. Your 9 in a row is a poor second to their 10 in a row. And considering that the Knicks have won 8 in a row, and the Mavs are 9-1 in their last 10 it really isnt all that impressive. There's about 10 teams that are feasting on the rest of the league right now. Hopefully by mid season that number is cut in half.

The Celtics beat us when we weren't running any plays and Wade was hurt. Great accomplishment. YOU ESPECIALLY really shouldn't say ****. I really thought that you would just stay quiet.

and THOSE STREAKS....NOT as good as the HEAT'S.

PAY ATTENTION. They are going for an ALL-TIME record for double digit wins. The Knicks beat some trash teams with buzzer beaters. There is ONLY one team that is attempting to tie an all-time NBA record on Wednesday.

So again..their streaks..not as good as ours.

I will give you credit for blindly hating though. I guess you really want to win the haters ball. You keep saying **** like this, you will have no competition: "It is not impressive that they are attempting to set an all-time NBA record" BRILLIANT! Can't hate better than that.

Nets trade Terrence Williams to Houston and Joe Smith to LA, get back Sasha Vujacic from the Lakers and two 1st round draft picks.

PANIC IN LOS ANGELES! Oh, no, wait. No one’s panicking about the struggling Lakers. Gee, isn’t that odd?
