GT5 was just released to manufacturing, and already its sequel is in the works. I actually think GT6 will come out relatively quickly. They’ll take the work they did on GT5, add to it, perhaps include more extensive and better looking damage modeling, and have it out as a late-life PS3 game. 2012, perhaps.
why don't they go ahead and fix the crappy cars models, physics and lack of real damage. You know, maybe, get it on par with Forza 3 and then move on to the next one.
Mr. Gates is that you? 1. The high end car models exceed anything in Forza. Over 200 premium cars that knock the socks off of anything in Forza (that's over half the cars in forza if I'm not mistaken..which I might be). The others are PS2 ports which while disappointing, is better than not having them in the game at all. 2. Physics are top notch. Sorry, this is just a silly argument. 3. I'm assuming you like everyone else are making a snap judgment based on early gameplay for Gran Tursimo. If you'd played the game long enough you'd see that the damage for the cars is at the very least equal to the damage in Forza, if not better. Damage as it is affects your racing, and it shows up VERY visibly as you progress levels. They're adding mechanical damage with an update soon. I guess i don't get the hate against GT. Forza is a solid game, but GT is the most realistic racing sim on the market. It has a **** ton of cars, and is incredibly deep. It's the only racing game that I bother to own on either system (and yes, I've played Forza a lot with my buddy).
