Just posted the same thing.....don`t think it matters today. Mods, someone can probably merge these 2 threads. Thanks and sorry if pumpdog was first and I missed it.
I loved this guy as a player in denver but it seems like he left his play making ability out west. With the exception of the jets game he has done nothing special except drop passes and make stupid penalties. We need him to turn it around and be that top 3 receiver if we have any chance of beating the pats and the jets.
Totally agree... who needs a receiver that is going to get you 90 plus catches and 900 to 1K yards? I mean really! <eye roll>
Inflated numbers don't win you football games TD's do. So far I have only seen BM produce 1. We have a WR on the bench with equal production.
I'll go further: I am relieved. Henne and the offense looked good without Marshall last week. Henne does not have good red zone chemistry with Marshall but Marshall's reputation demands that we still feed him redone attempts despite a very poor success rate between he and Henne down there. BMarsh is a beast but this offense moves and scores better without him. Wish it weren't so.
Yeah, why the hell did we get rid of Ginn for him? He can't even return kicks. Seriously, without the sarcasm, Marshall and Henne have not yet developed the needed chemistry. I put a lot of that blame on the coaches, who have drilled into Henne's head not to make mistakes, and not to throw into coverage. Marshall is an exception to that rule in that when covered, he can still get the damn ball. Give this a little more time.
Composure. Maturity. Also, (minor nitpick) the play he "failed" to make toward the end of the Jets game.
Marshall is a great WR. We're lucky to have him. His lack of touchdowns annoys him more than anyone else in the world, make no mistake about that.
The problem with this (besides the obvious) is that we're all made to know it, because he's 5 years old and feels the need to show us his every frustration. This alone annoys me to no end regardless of statistics. He also comes off as a non-team-guy when he pulls this garbage on us.
We are missing marshall big time in this game. First, i hope some of you are all over Bess now that he had that stupid penalty after the play. I doubt it cause hes not Marshall, but that was exactly the kind of thing Marshall would do. Joe Haden is a very athletic cb, but not very physical. Marshall would be owning this guy, but Hartline and Bess match up very nicely for Haden.
Ummm...Others are owning Haden, still not missing Marshall. I am missing the confident swagger Henne had last week though.
