Whoa this is early right? But it already looks like the Dolphins will be playing on Thanksgiving Day and we need a thread to get our minds off 2010. The only other AFC team the Cowboys play at home are the Bills, and an AFC team will be playing the Chokeboys on turkey day(apparently they switch every year, it was NFC team this year)... so it's either Fins or Bills. Goes to the team with the better record, bigger media market and larger fan base. Plus they'd love to show replays of the 1993 game. http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sport...nsweblog+(Miami+Dolphins+|+Sun-Sentinel+Blogs) On the road, the Dolphins are set for visits to the Chiefs (8-4), Chargers (6-6), Cowboys (4-8), Giants (8-4) and their corresponding finisher in the AFC North. After Sunday’s upset loss to Cleveland at Sun Life Stadium, that should be those same Browns (5-7). With an AFC team slated to play at Dallas on Thanksgiving Day, the Dolphins are almost certain to draw that assignment for the first time since 2006 (27-10 win at Detroit). The Cowboys are set to host the lowly Bills (2-10) as their only other AFC home opponent next season. The Dolphins last played at Dallas on Thanksgiving in 2003, drilling Bill Parcells’ first Cowboys team, 40-21. The Dolphins’ previous Thanksgiving Day trips to Dallas came in 1999 (20-0 loss), 1993 (16-14 win in the snow against Leon Lett) and 1973 (14-7 win).
Yeah, it was going to be either us or the Bills. Kind of makes sense to pick us as the Bills are a team in rebuilding mode. I know you can't really gauge these things now, but it's another really hard schedule. Bring it on!
Yeah I love Thanksgiving and the games, and those last two in 2003 and 2006 were great and are some of the more memorable games I remember. Dolphins actually have the best record on Thanksgiving at 5-1 [oh no...watch them f**k that up next year]. And no I don't count the Saints being 1-0 now, play at least 3 games first. As for the schedule it's even too early in August to tell if it's hard haha. But yeah we'll most likely get the Browns and Texans/Titans as the "not set yet" opponents.
By the time we end up facing the NFC West they will actually be good, seems the way of things lately. Still, will be fun to have a Turkey Day game, I still remember watching the '93 game on TV with the whole Leon Lett debacle. Weren't we down to our third stringer in that game as well?
Great another national game to choke in... Hope our new headcoach and offensive coordinator are up for the game
dont count on us being there. we choked all year in national games, and if buffalo drafts a high marketable rookie qb, they could like the "throw back" to the 90's cowboy/bills games. i am not banking on it, until i hear it announced officially. So ****ing sad we are looking forward to a year from now this time of THIS season
Another game for Coach Henning to run a sweep on in the critical stages of the game, because he has no faith in the quaterback, then they will lose.....
Makes no difference to me when the team plays. I'd rather them not play on Thanksgiving b/c I don't want to have to worry about getting upset should they get their asses kicked on a day where you're supposed to enjoy spending time with family
