Hey man. I respect that you went ahead and said it. Heat of battle...All that. Now, everyone knows, he meant to do it. Questions? http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill/
Not suggesting it makes it better. He's just admitting it now, so everyone that was saying different can F the hell off. Now we know, for a fact he meant to do it.
Awfully strange how all of those coaches were lined up....almost in formation....look at the pic again...all hands in pocket...all standing same way. I think the staff planned this...including Ryan.
Clearly...But, If I am standing in a place, I own that place. Run into me? It's a YOU issue. If I stick out a knee? It's a ME issue. Clearly, they are creating an obstical. But, it's legal. Nothing can be done, nor should it. When somone sticks a knee out, that's actionable.
These kinds of statements piss me off. Did he only "man up" because he was caught? I imagine he's looking to lessen any punishment that might (should) be forthcoming. If he reached out to Carroll after the game, at least that says something positive about his character.
Great, thanks for telling us what we already know, douche. If this guy isn't fired, and the organization fined, its still an outrage.
It's really bull**** to say he is accepting responsibility for what he did when the Jets initially denied it and went so far as to give him a security escort and hide him from the media. If anything, Woody Johnson forced the Jets coaching staff to come clean because he's already had enough with the Jets sexual harassment issues and whatnot.
I think it's a big thing to accept guilt. Now all the D bags that are defending him can't help but turn tail. He meant to do it. And, that's it. And what you do as an organization is first, and, foremost, defend your own. Put some separation in the issue, ensure the person's safety, and, then do what is morally right, which the Jets did, I think. The guy was wrong. There is no question.
Sort of what I was thinking...but that's pretty much exactly what the Jets are now. That's exactly what I expect them and thiers to do. SOr of like BE horsecollering VD 10 yards downfield.
Are you 12 years old? Learn about your organization and your coaching staff before you talk about any other team. Anyways, that was completely uncalled for. I'd fire his ***.
Of course you'll say that after you were busted on national TV ya idiot!!! This isn't pee-wee ball. People are watching.
Oh, the "I got Caught in the act Tiger Woods Apology"! Could be much worse if Nolan had sprained his knee or whatever, he still needs to take the discipline whether it's suspension from being allowed on sidelines or fine.
Yeah, you say all the right things and pretend you sorry, but at the end of the day, you are a deuch. Simple as that. No wonder Benedict Taylor fits there so well.
He's getting out in front of it, but, at least we know now, there is no more argument. He meant to do it. I would say not bing allowed on the sidelines, and, an organizational fine is in order.
Yeah our coaching staff gives credit where credit is due, they respect their opponents, and they don't trip players, lie about it and then come out and admit it. Now I'm not saying they're awesome at coaching, cause we are 7-6 and they've made some bad decisions but, at least they showed sportsmanship. I could bring up some of the posts you've made on this site, that would make Med look like a saint.
I am wrong but I thought that there is always to be 2 yrds between sidelines people and the actual chalk of the sideline, thus the line two yrds back from the "coaches"on that sideline. I thought every team had a "getback"coach that regulated that. If so, then it is blatanly obvious what was happening.
Chivalry was a construct of Victorian society to convey wealth and status. I am not Victorian. **** that man.
I wish some people would have been alive to see that. It's a true legend. Cox went after that whole bench like he had been lit on fire. It was remarkable to see. It was superheroic in a way.
Yes he would have! Regardless of how you feel about Bryan Cox overall you had to LOVE him for walking over to that Bengals bench and calling out an entire team that was openly celebrating a hit a defenseless kicker away from a play. That's what I was talking about in the other thread. Someone needed to step up. Not necessarily to a degree of getting a personal foul called but someone needed to call them out on what had just happened and no one did. Dissapointing to me.
There are examples throughout sports history of coaches calling for cheap shots, pitchers throwing at a batters head, headhunters coming off the bench in hockey for the sole purpose of harming another player, etc. Seeing how this is absolutely true are you really going to continue to think the possibility of this is so far fetched especially considering Ryans demeanor? Do I have to give you a lesson in human nature?
No lesson needed. In fact, I'll grant you they were blocked together in a mobility blocking obstical. If I was a coach, I wouldn't stop my assistants from doing it. Gamesmanship is one thing. Dirty pool is another. I would just say that jumping to conclusions is fun, until it's you. When Rex Ryan is blamed and named complicate, I'll believe it. Until then, I'll let it go to Occams Razor.
It's starting to be called "KNEEGATE" in the media!! I was waiting for them to come up with a Gate name. I was thinking "Tripgate", but oh well.
Certainly. You deny at first. Once Denial is futile, you get out front. I don't think it's organizational in nature. Your first move as an organization SHOULD be to protect one of yours in case of controversy. Then, find out what happened, and go from there....... But ALWAYS protect your own. I'm shocked that so many here, being fans of UofM wouldn't understand that.
Sure after he was identified, hes playing Cover MY ***. He represents the JETS and REX RYAN regardless of what he says. No sale had no-one said anything you would have not stepped up you fraud.
